The Republican Primary thread has become my favourite thread on the forums. The primary is just so utterly insane I can't wait to read it in the morning and find out what crazy thing has happened now.

The only downside is this is for the Republican nomination for President of the United States.

Don't worry. There's a campaign for voting for Canada as a write-in candidate.

You eat better to lose weight. You exercise to tone muscles and increase endurance. They both help each other, but depending on your goals, one is always better than the other. For most people who are not bulking that means diet.

    man, never knock the basics.

Velveeta on white bread with butter on a frying pan produces some tasty stuff.

i have fancied it up over the years a little bit, but still... its so good and i would still eat this.

My current favorite at-home grilled chese is potato bread, Irish butter, sharp cheddar, prosciutto, and the tiniest spritz of truffle oil.

I gymmed religiously for an entire year and lost no weight. I didn't change my diet but I was lifting. I still needed to drop weight but I never felt better physically.

    Then depression blah blah blah.

I'm trying to eat better and tracking my food intake is helping, but.. uuuggh. Food is so good, especially the texture.

You know, my tastes have become refined over the years, but some things just stick. I much prefer freshly sliced deli meat these days EXCEPT in the case of Bologna. I find "gourmet" Bologna far too overpoweringly garlicky.

I guess what I am saying is my Bologna has a first name and its Oscar.

Science just needs to find a way to make salt, fat, and sugar be relegated by the body better. We need a switch in our heads that we can flip that says "I'm just a fat fuck who likes eating. Do not save any extra energy over 10%." And the ability to turn it off if we like crash in the andies

French girl's parents wanting to have a big meal for lunch is starting to be a bit of a pain. It makes doing anything be a real pain.

I have won this round and they have accepted that I am cooking a lasagne and it's for dinner. Small steps at a time.

There was a study I read a few days ago that talked about how in the US more people than ever are getting regular exercise and more people than ever are overweight.

Weight loss is 100% about diet.

My own experience with exercise and weight loss is perfectly described by that as well. When I was 21 I was going to the gym 5 days a week and doing 45 min of weight lifting and 30 min of cardio and I worked as a framer at the time. I got down to 290 lbs and couldn't lose any more. I was benching 350 lbs and was probably in the best shape of my life, but still fat.

Diet is everything for weight loss.

I'm hesitant to say it's 100% about diet just beacuse activity helps. some more than others but even purely building muscle will help your body burn fat.

but I also agree with it in as much as without a diet you're not gonna accomplish much, if anything, if losing fat is your goal.

so it's entirely about diet but you can also improve it by doing other things.

Yeah, but it is really a bitch when you wear out chairs and such much faster. :(

I really want to get under 400. I've come close, but never made it.

I feel like my French racism would be non existent if I were a skinny non American. I just think of them judging me and maybe that judgement being correct.

It depends on your highest stat. Hobbits have high dex so it triggers stealth. Humans can go a few different ways

Not so much in my experience. There's certainly the option to have a three course lunch in any given canteen but it's less and less the done thing over just having something light.

I imagine that my experience is probably tempered by being Parisian though

    ...?

I am pretty sure everyone fades from the seen world when wearing the ring, and draws attention from all connected to the unseen world.

Basically, you walk in two worlds, and fade from the sight of the living.
