I am not opposed to the view that this does not need sections and we're really looking at one organization under Rettinger / Clement and whoever's in charge of him, but for now it's too early to be sure.

Having slept on it, the description of the video we just got from the drive stands out to me in that the guy got vamped after Mikhael had clearly decided he was done with him.

Either Mikhael was acting as an interface for the vampire, or Michka's actually calling the shots. The first option implies that these things have some trouble blending, the second implies that Mikhael is himself a vampire or someone very important to them. The whole scene also implies that there's some serious infrastructure for cleaning up blood from the back rooms of the casino without people freaking out, unless that feed was a lot cleaner than I was imagining it.

I keep going back to Kiev. He was after the briefcase and a vampire killed him. Do we know if there was any conversation before that point? Or did the killer just bust into the room and shred him? There really seems to be a link in there somewhere we could make with some inductive reasoning.

It's also worth pointing out that if Kiev just got whacked without discussion, I don't think we've got any evidence that these things can talk, or have any inclination to. The one I mixed it up with didn't monologue or anything, the one on the casino video didn't say anything before or after he throated that guy. We've only got evidence of them being violent so far. That might just be a lack of evidence at this point, but it might also mean that we'll need to revisit our bloodsucker organizational charts at some point.

There was a conversation between Kiev and Iggy Pop which didn't seem to be especially friendly - I partially overheard it - but ended with Kiev alive. Iggy came back later on to kill him. My guess is that it went something like "No no, I'll totally have that thing you wanted any minute now." "Oh really? Hurry it up," and then things went south because Kiev was up to something bigger than just ransoming the case and Rettinger's org figured that out.

The more I think about it, the better an idea framing Mikhael and making him disappear seems to be... unless he is himself a vampire.

I agree that it seems like the casino vampire, at least, doesn't like to talk to people.

And if he turns out to be a vampire, we're probably fucked.

The former sounds doable given the game's thematics.

The latter we're not in a position to predict as yet.

Oh, and I'm raising Gambling and Digital Intrusion to 8, it looks like, mostly for Mr. Clean from the latter.

I'm jumping Guns up to 8 to get access to the combat powers. I feel like we may need those before too long.

I think the other point is going to go into Health just to keep me on my feet.

Actually, if it worked for you guys, I'd be fine staying on nights. Longer game time before my little one interrupts, and less strain on Mrs. Gu.

Sunday's probably easier than Saturday, but there's a weekend-long thing run by the local nerdy-people meetup I'll be at. Friday's actually best of the three this week, and doable.

Friday might be kind of late, since I have to drive a place, then drive another place, then do several hours of yard work, then drive back to the second place.

It sounds like Sunday may actually be easier between the two of our schedules? The last thing I care about being present for should be over by 6 EST and that puts me home by about 7, if that works for you guys. I'd have to get up at one point for about 20 minutes, guaranteed, but otherwise it'd be simplest.
