[Movies] Holy shit! They're Making a BFG Movie?
Directed by Steven Spielberg?
How did I not know this until now?
The BFG is my favorite book from my favorite author, Roald Dahl!
It's a charming story about giants and dreams and nightmares and holy shit I'm super excited now!
I was going to make this OP all about summer blockbusters but who gives a fuck bow that I know this!
There is only one movie now and it's The BFG!

Also they're making a Battefleet Gothic movie? Is it direct to video like Ultramarines?
But imagine how it would have looked with Gilliam.
I always mentally conflate the two and translate it to Big Fucking Giant.
Rather not. I don't think it would have worked as well with his style.
He never even found out until years later when he was reading an interview in a magazine and saw it mentioned that they had originally wanted him for the part. Apparently he absolutely would have accepted had he known.
Edit: Also, I believe Spielberg was instrumental in getting WB and Disney to play along for the movie, and I don't know what his involvement was like at the time Gilliam was considered, but without that you could have easily ended up with something more like the book version (which is drastically different from the film) and I don't think that would resonate quite as well (Roger actually dies, for one).
*I mean...not really, but you know.
Hoskins in that movie also looked like he could have been Jason Lee's father
And it has an 80 million-dollar budget
and it's also primarily being made in China
No, no, none of this is right at all.
That has to be the biggest case of "failing upwards" ever in Hollywood.
Wait, is this even considered Hollywood since its primarily backed by the Chinese?
Because that would have a modicum of creativity and wit.
Tetris: Rise Of Line Piece
Tetris: Return of the Cube
The cast is already confirmed, don't you know?
Tom Hanks
Elizabeth Olson
Taylor Swift
Ryan Gosling
Ian McShane
Scarlett Johansson
The final movie ends with the hero pulling off the legendary t-spin
God damnit.
I wanna know which one falls first.
Just stay after the credits for the Tetris movie, where a domino played by Samuel L Jackson mentions the "B.L.O.C.K. Project" or whatever the fuck
well in the book all the bad giants were afraid of Jack and his mythical beanstalk. They thought it was some sort of giant-killing weapon.
judging by the trailer, they're keeping pretty true to Quentin Blake's unique look
