Pre-PAX West Pinny Dinner -- UPDATED DETAILS! PLEASE READ!

Here are the details!!

Date: Thursday, Sept 1
Time: 4pm-8pm (this is extremely casual so show up anytime during those hours, whenever works best for you!)
Location: Lunchbox Laboratory South Lake Union
1253 Thomas St, Seattle, WA 98109

Price per person: $28* even (this INCLUDES tax and gratuity, you won't have to worry about any of that)
This includes: 2 sliders, a salad, and a side**

Alcoholic beverages: Cash bar, NOT INCLUDED in the $28. Beers, wines, and wells are $6. Premium spirits are $8.
Non-alcoholic beverages: $3 (iced tea, kool-aid, soda [Coke products], coffee, etc)

The $28 is not just for food! This room is awesome, and we have it for 4 hours! It has:
Large space for trading, chatting, tons of seating space
Four flat-screen TVs
Pool table, shuffleboard
Arcade games
Hookups for console games (so we can play Quiplash and stuff!)

I'm going to ask that I receive payment either by Paypal or Venmo by Friday, August 19. I'll be giving them a deposit sometime in the next week which will guarantee us the room, but I do need payment by that date to ensure we have the correct guest count.

You will not be included on the official guest list until I have received payment. I would love to be able to take cash at the time of the event but since this is a pay-up-front deal I just can't front the money for people in advance, I'm sorry.

1) I'm very interested in doing the thing, regardless of where it is!
2) Would be willing to pay $20-$30 up front if we had guaranteed food/drink per person, which is sounds like we do. (That's what we would pay easily at any given restaurant for an entree and a drink, so I don't think that's unreasonable at all.)

I think from here on out getting a headcount and pre-paying is going to be the norm for the US pre-PAX dinners so I'm totally down for this. From what I've heard of Lunchbox Laboratory it's a fantastic place so as long as we make sure everyone has enough food a $20 including drinks ticket sounds great. The only tricky part I see is how the drinks are done, like if it's a cash bar then we won't need to get the full cost from everyone and trying to work that out through selling tickets. But seeing as how gauging interest is the point here then yeah, I think this is a great idea.

I also vote for pizza-in-a-room for the post-PAX dinner!

that being said, I would have a hard time making it to 20.00, much less 25-25 on the high end. I'd be lucky to hit 15 before gratuity...

Great location idea. cost prohibitive to non drinkers.

Is the $20-25 cost include an alcohol drink or an non-alcohol drink (like soda or iced tea)? I don't drink much, I really just want an iced tea.

Yeah traditionally it's been Thursday night around dinnertime: anywhere from 6-8 I'm guessing! I think @thefawnn is just trying to gauge interest to figure out roughly what the per-person cost is going to be before "selling tickets."

I'm pretty sure hitting 50 at Prime will be no issue whatsoever, I'm totes down. I'll likely be bringing 2x friends too who will be in Seattle for the first time, one is a semi-pin collector and one is just gonna be there, so there's that.

I think paying up front is a great idea, it's no different than the pre-pax dinner that gets done for Prime, and allows less bullshit to go down.

My only request is that it starts earlyish so I can run away to the pub crawl around 8:30-9 :kappa:

That menu is for large parties dining in the normal restaurant, so no. We'd be choosing from the banquet menu, which is here:

I think the event rooms get the full menu (at least, we did last time we did this for work).

That menu is for large parties dining in the normal restaurant, so no. We'd be choosing from the banquet menu, which is here:

That's already 22 people who have expressed definite interest in being there, on only the second day of this being posted. That's really awesome so far guys, thank you!! We just might be able to make this work!

I know a lot of you have asked some really great questions so far, and I promise I'll have more definite answers for you (including what the drinking/not drinking situation is going to be) in the next few days.

Hey guys my name's jeff and I just wanted to pop in here because I work at LBL thought I would give you some input. First we don't have a set menu anymore most of the time we do buffet style but if you have dietary restrictions or want something off the normal menu it's totally cool we will make it work for you.

Also we are totally are fine if people want to bring in a game system or blueray player or whatever and hook it to the TV. We can even move things around.

If you have any other questions let me know I'll try and get back to you.
