well no i feel like someone who can run a marathon just ran a marathon
i feel like i ran 3/4 of a mile
That's what we call a 75er.
gonna get a .75 sticker for my rear windshield
make the . really really small
I had no idea what those stickers meant, but now when I see one I feel nothing but derision.
it is funny how mad people get about them
i mean, if i could actually run 26.2 miles i'd be pretty stoked
a little sticker on my windshield announcing it to the world is pretty harmless
I guess for me I'd much rather you announce that you want gore/lieberman 2000 than you ran for some time. then again I hate "here are all the members of my family in a dumb way."
I hate basically.
I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.
also ppups i almost said Blood Rage but I think rotating card drafting is one of the worst mechanics you can put in a game and it kinda ruins it for me since it's such a huge part of it
Why you not like
Card drafting like that relies on making decisions when most of the information is hidden and involved a ton of random chance. You're basically making decisions semi-randomly, and it's worse the smaller the number of cards being drafted is because you'll get fewer rotations and thus less information
It also forces you to learn all the cards before you can really play with any seriousness which is kind of annoying.
hmmmm what is another way they could use to also customize your mans as the game progresses so you start the same vikings but end up different vikings from each other
i like Kemet, which just has you buy abilities like that from a globally available supply, though it does add extra mechanics to the game
I feel that drafting works best in games that allow you to set a strategy ahead of time and see your opponent's strategy as well, so you can start drafting cards that either support your strategy or draft to prevent your opponents from doing the same. You should be able to make decisions in your draft based on the information that you have available.

Microsoft Edge is the worst browser. For some reason now it autocompletes the PA forums to Spool's profile.
I have no idea why.

blood rage does an okay job of this but em is doing a good job of convincing me that even in optimal conditions its just a bad mechanic

Drafting is fast, and less random than just straight drawing cards out of a deck. It's not a bad mechanic for a card mechanic. Most mechanics with cards are going to involve a high amount of randomness.
(although regrettably I think it's another six years before you can import one to the USA)
I think B16Bs got imported over here pretty frequently though -- one of my friends had a k20a in his civic and that was pretty damn peppy.
My impression is that the US JDM scene centres around importing engines and parts to build into US market cars, because it's difficult/impossible to import the actual cars (as would be done in the UK). Is that about right?
There's also the whole RHD/LHD thing.

sure, i think em was saying that he doesn't like high randomness mechanics and it's unfortunate that such a mechanic is as large a part of blood rage as it is.

I've never injected anything and am really squicked out by needles but I feel like in a survival situation I could administer an IV easily enough.
The hardest part is not piercing through both sides of the vein.
So, moving closer to parallel with the skin than not, watching for blood to push into the line, and then I assume you'd know if you were through once you started the flow and skin started swelling up like crazy?
Skin shouldnt swell.
You can feel the pop when you get the needle through.

I live in Canada so let's wait on the election before we get all thirsty
Plus instead of working lately I spend a lot of my day designing a game where you get new abilities by conquering the areas that confer them, rather than drafting or buying...
