I have monster like hands so things made for mere mortals are ever so tiny
Still I know I need to move but the problem is where? I feel I will just wait to see if I can get one in the wild but I am going to seriously debate what I should be doing before this summer

The Dualshock already feels way too small, so I'm kind of terrified the joycon will be painful to hold
Well when Amiibos were the thing to flip when the reissue of Marth and Lucina there was about 30+ outside of ToysR to get it even though they limited you to just one

So we're seeing Ninjara, Master Mummy, Ribbon Girl, Spring Man, and Mechanica as Arms characters on the banners on the live stream. I call dibs on Master Mummy.
I'm glad other people noticed this moment in the trailer, what the Hell is happening here
Why is Marie so dramatic-looking!!! What is this new story!!
I am dying of laughter at imagining Nintendo in a dark room with their fingers steepled. They look at those demanding an answer, crook an evil grin, and in the most silky smooth voice they say, "All choices have consequences."
Arms looks fun but straight-up, if it has no button controls it's probably a dealbreaker
dash and jump are the only button controls if I was following that trailer correctly
I mean let me hold the controller and use the triggers to punch
I am betting almost definitely not
I mean its like the wii sports games, its meant to use as much of the new hardware tech as possible to try and make something fun, putting in button controls betrays the purpose of the game
Arms is interesting, because it's the kind of idea that hsould not work at all
But it's also kind of emblematic of the Switch, or Nintendo in general post-Splatoon, where they go all in on weird bullshit that works way better than it should

I have very little faith in motion based punching games after basically every motion based punching game that has ever come out.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.

It looks like something that evolved from Wii Sports boxing.
I'm just hoping that they balance movement versus accuracy nicely, because from what they showed I can imagine a lot of long matches of continuously missed punches.

The stream makes it look pretty well-balanced but we'll see if that holds up when we get our hands on it

I'm pretty trusting that Arms will be super fun - I just wish it wasn't going to priced like top tier game. It seems like a fun $30/40 purchase, not something priced the same as Zelda.
I'll wait on reviews for Arms but if the motion controls work well I'm super excited for it
Got my Switch ordered! Along with Breath of the Wild, the Mario carrying case that also holds 14 games and looks super slick, and the charging grip. Paid in full
They weren't selling the Pro controllers yet, oddly enough
I was gonna try and reserve a switch that I could pick up in person but I checked and I'm working the night it comes out so there's no real point to setting up for a midnight release
So I just preordered on Amazon, I'll have to be content with having it arrive while I'm asleep and praying that it's a slow night at work so I can just play Zelda all night long
Did this update for you? Seems like the Amazon.ca page just doesn't have any button for the pre-order.
I was able to pre order off of amazon.ca at like 6:01am pst. It said I had to have prime in order to do so so I finally went for the free trial
I did the same thing, but it tells me my order is shipping on the 6th? Is that normal for Amazon pre-orders?
Uh-oh I accidentally deleted my signature. Uh-oh!!

Have they said you can use two joy-cons together loose? They definitely said there are sensors on the side to know when they're in the grip, which makes me wonder if outside the grip they tell the system they're separate controllers

There are two other people here and they got here at the same time as me
Gonna go ahead and wait in the car, then!

Nope.
The woman from the E3 trailer also spoke at points during the game.
Scalpers bad, but they intend to make some money
cement your pre-order placement
drive your car into the store

youtube chat is a flashing mess of screaming
I like them both, really.

Nintendo motion controls to this point have been game ruining but I'm always willing to give it a shot

Very few.
It's almost always tennis.
And lose several to behind the couch and flung carelessly across the room

Calliemity Ganon
like Oculus Touch and Vive have it right
and anything below that level has been a waste of time
I probably will too

The dpad and right stick seem like they might be awkward to reach without the hand grips

EDIT: Wait, it sold out already? WTF?

That's how arms is played
