I just based them on his shirt (black on yellow), same as Tycho's.

Here are the remaining thumbnails from my sketchbook and the color roughs. These really didn't change much from the initial concepts. The Art brief asked for each character in a wreath so the general direction was pretty clear. The only things we changed a little were the eyes which went from the color dots to smaller black dots with highlights.



We also looked at other possible expressions for Annarchy but ended up sticking with the original version.

Things went pretty smoothly!

I do take commissions occasionally but not as often as I used to. In addition to a full-time graphic design job, I also teach part-time in the Industrial Design department at the University of Alberta so I'm pretty busy. I do take on stuff that sounds fun from time to time. I'm about to do some new pieces for the Mutants & Masterminds RPG which I've done work for over the past 7 or 8 years.
