I really hate how the dishonored games treat you like an asshole for using violence, even in self defense
half the weapons and powers in the game are unusable if you play it "correctly"
Yeah, Dishonored had a huge issue with how their marketing presented the game, how the powers worked, and how the game treated your moral choices.
Marketing presented the games as having tons of unique, interesting ways to kill enemies.
Gameplay showed you didn't need those and could just go for direct kills, and also had the stealth aspect trivialized by better versions of Blink, let alone Time Stop.
Then the game punishes you morally for murder, but is totally ok with basically selling your targets off to be slaves or rape-slaves as the "pacifist" choices.
In dishonored 2 I walked down an alley and a bunch of thugs attacked me, I killed them, and my ghost mom said something like "savages, preying on the powerless, just like you my daughter"

I thought Dishonored was swashbuckling historian fantasy. There are Ghost Mom's?
You get a heart that shows you where enemies are through walls and stuff. It's the Empress's heart, who is assassinated at the start of Dishonored 1. Big item in that game too. It talks! It's fucked up.

they were a fun novelty once, but they don't even have that going for them now
We get some guilty pleasures, when we're lucky - Resident Evil, Prince of Persia. They need to make them so they can improve, they'll get there eventually, a few decades ago super-hero films were in this stage. Pls Hollywood, get your shit together. AC should have been one of the easiest to adapt, that's what's weird about the movie failing.
I forgot that my 3DS XL can't just find a wireless network and let me enter the password to connect.
I was curious to see if I had access to the SNES virtual console stuff but my roommate runs the networks and he's sick and sleeping
I don't think I do anyways. Apparently it's only the "new" 3DS XL that has access to it?
Also thanks Nintendo for releasing an upgraded version and just using the word "new" to differentiate it that doesn't make it hard to google it at all you jerks

andersen gets a pass from me, his adaptions are harmless fluff which know that they're silly. Uwe Boll, however, will get an excuse to punch critics in the face - unless they're actual boxers. I heard he refused to box one critic who could hold his own. lol
Someone should make an I Wanna Be The Boshy movie. It would really suit the "everyone stop and focus on this awkward reference" thing that's popular in stuff like NuTrek.

The vast bulk of games don't seem like they are a good fit for film productions at all. Mass Effect & Witcher perhaps would be exceptions... but even then, the elements of choice in those games is a fundamental part of why they're so engaging.

It's a decent fantasy movie, tells a story, but relies heavily on knowing a lot about warcraft to "get it"
It doesn't fill in a lot of the backstory or explain who people are or why they're important (not on the same scale as LotR for instance). A lot of the complaints are people (critics) felt like it was a cheap knock off of LotR, and that it didn't really tell why the orcs and humans were fighting or why Draenor was dying (they offhandedly mention it).
It was good, though.

at least the Commodore had a kickass sound chip. People will pay like a hundred bucks or more for a working one these days. They buy old C64s just to remove the SID chip and use it in a modern sound board.

It wasn't great. Silent Hill is still better in my mind. I spent half the Warcraft movie going "Wait, who is that?"
