I really dig beer.
I used to go to school at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, CA. A friend of mine from down there recently showed up here in Seattle and stayed with me. Today on my doorstep was a package from him that contained ten 22oz bottles of various beers brewed at the central coast brewery (a local brewery in CA). I just drank one and it was really tasty (way tastier than milk) and then I had some of my oatmeal stout that I brewed that just finished fermenting last weekend.
It made me think of how much I love beer.
Is there anybody in the seattle area who brews their own beer and might be interested in a trade?
Mine's in quart bottles but i'd even be willing to trade one for two 12oz bottles, especially if they were different types.

She proceeds to fucking smash (no, not drop, spike...like a football) the thing into the floor, right as we hit the checkout counter. Beer, foam, and glass EVERYWHERE. The dude just looks at us, smiles, and tells her to just grab another one.
That was probably a good sign that we should've quit right then.

I've really just begun drinking after a friend finally pulled me off of my long-standing decision not to. So I'm totally up for suggestions good sir. I dislike the taste of most of the common college beers I've tried though. Bud, Coors, et al.
Just wondering, is there Popov Vodka anywhere else in America? Or just in the shitty convenience stores in California's wonderful central valley.
Also, are you telling me that when Darth shows up for PAX, with a bottle of Knob Creek, you're not going to have a pull?

If you like mixed drinks, vodka is OK. It's versatile because it has a pretty generic taste, and mixes well. Personally speaking, if I'm having a mixed drink, it's going to have gin in it: either a Gin & Tonic, or a Dry Martini.
If you'd like to try my drink of choice, just go up to your bartender and say, "Double Maker's, neat."

I keep stuff to make white russians in my house at all times and usually have at least one a day. I prefer gray goose, but I often end up with smirnoff or absolut.

I've really only partaken in mixed drinks mostly, though I've moved from about 1/4 vodka to 3/4 when I mix my own. I'll look up the Double Maker's, as I'm sure my small town bartender has a good chance of not knowing what that is.

You get used to it. The whole disorienting-lazy-stare at a wall-nonsensical type shit wears off once you develop a steady habit.
