The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
I know it was already mentioned, but I want to second Dragon Quest Builders. I personally liked the concept of Minecraft, but could never get into the actual product since there was no structure to the game. DQB was perfect for me since it has building and crafting similar to Minecraft (albeit more limited by comparison), but with an actual campaign to keep you focused and advancing.

DQBuilders seems way too twitch for what he was asking tho.
It's not twitch at all? You sort of just run up and mash the murder button. It's.. incredibly soothing. It has that same satisfaction of placing blocks/organising things/making an appealing layout that stardew valley has.

The combat is clumsy and not very responsive. It can get pretty frustrating, especially if there's more than one critter after you or for the boss fights. It fits the game, since you aren't the hero, but the combat eventually made me stop playing it.
But I'm basing it more off of showing the game to my friend, whose likes and dislikes mirror his wife's almost 100% and she wrote off the game immediately.

I'd say if the lady in question has any affinity for jrpgs of old then DQB is definitely the way to go. There was a demo up, if that's still available you can try that.
The jet ski portions of Uncharted are really getting on my nerves.
Yes, this is where I am too. Going against the current is very annoying and not fun, and it has made me not go back to it for a few days now. I'm going to have to power through it on the weekend I think so that I can continue on with the series, because overall I am loving the tone and feel of the game.

Yeah, going upstream against the current was pretty rage inducing, especially on Hard where it take so few bullets to get killed. Stopping to aim and then falling back down a tiny waterfall is ridiculous, or bouncing off a rock and going in the opposite direction. Ugh. Not to mention why does my jet ski control like a tank.
Don't they give you some sort of grenade gun thing? Aiming is probably less important, but you still need to be shooting in the right general direction.
I just looked in my Backlog folder and I still have there Plague Inc: Evolved. It is a plague/virus/bacteria management game. You evolve your little critter to be more resistant, infectious, lethal, and the goal is to wipe everyone out on the planet.
There is something extremely satisfying in suddenly seeing the world turn red and there medical research collapse because you mutated one of your symptoms in Explosive Diarrhea (which is distracting), or Projectile Vomiting (which can infect others) or something else like exploding blood pustules or so...
You have a speed button which determines how fast time passes, so if it seems that it becomes to twitchy, just slow down the time.
There are even scenarios like zombie infections, or the Planet of the Apes.
I saw once a video from Jesse Cox in the Greenlight series and they were playing that and I was immediately sold.

I'm not sure I'd say that the bosses are 'twitch' but they definitely do suck. Might be a bit much for her if LBP is out (since a few of the bosses rely on a lot of jumping around and quick building.)

The PS Blog actually did post up the Flash Sale so that makes things a little easier for me.

So, a few things out this week but nothing that seems like it'll be 'for everyone'. PSVR gets a pretty big-deal title with Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin (I think? Name brand alone, I guess), which is sure to make some people happy. Warhammer fans get a double-dose this week with Warhammer 40k: Deathwatch and Warhammer Quest on PS4, which also sees Ys Origin and Berserk and the Band of the Hawk among other games. So, nice week for some, bye week for others.
I just played through Ys Origin on PC a couple months back; it's really good. It's enhanced considerably if you've played Ys I & II on the Turbo or PC or DS or any of the other zillion systems it's been on, just because you're seeing the same places 700 years earlier.
I think I'll just skip the Flash sale since the Godzilla game got such terrible reviews, and I'll pick up Binding of Isaac. Seems like my kind of game.
Binding of Isaac is amazing, and should be played by everyone. The ps4version is a touch buggy, but not as bad as it was (and not nearly as bad as the Jside version of Rebirth). Hopefully soon Afterbirth+ will be up on the psn as well.
I grabbed The Little Acre and The Bit Trip. Little Acre is a real charming and real beautiful light point n click adventure game. If you like that kind of thing definitely check it out. I guess it's real short, but it's currently quite cheap so yknow.

They are not good.
Thankfully it is not an avenue they explore in subsequent games.
