The Guiding Principles and New Rules
document is now in effect.
It has been announced that Bill Paxton has died due to complications during surgery. He was 61 years old.
Was he the best actor? No but he was good. And he was in a lot of great movies and a lot of iconic roles.
The earliest movie I remember him from is Weird Science where he played Chet.
The first role most people probably remember is Private Hudson in Aliens.
The list of movies he has substantial roles in that I've seen is long and great:
Twister
Tombstone
True Lies
Apollo 13
The Last Supper
U-571
Trespass
Frailty
Vertical Limit
Mighty Joe Young
Club Dread
Edge of Tomorrow
Nightcrawler
He was in the HBO show Big Love which I never watched but heard good things about.
I really, really liked Bill Paxton and this is really unexpected and sad. My condolences to his family.

People shit on Arnold's acting but personally I thought he played this scene perfectly.
we also talk about other random shit and clown upon each other
Last thing I saw him in was Agents of SHIELD, where he put in a hell of a performance.
Arnold's acting in true lies is on fucking point, actually.
I can't find a good scene of Paxton begging for his life after Arnold and Arnold threaten to kill him.
I really liked him in MAOS, he played a great mad villain. Also 2013's 'The Colony', a great popcorn flick. And he had such a wonderful smile!
Arrgh, this sucks.
No.
He's naval lint.
Club Dread is great and his washed up Jimmy Buffet character is the best part.
He was not killed by the Terminator, but he was knocked the fuck out.
Nah, the T-800 doesn't care about less-than-lethal force.

Speaking of which, everyone listen to his interview. He was a super chill, extremely interesting person!
It was and is deeply important to me, and this hurts a bunch.
He was really good in a lot of things and filmed entertainment is poorer with him gone.
I just listened to this last week. Was kind of taken aback by how fascinating it was.
Sorry Bill -- I had underestimated you. You were a hard working dude that made some pretty good movies and had some great stories to tell. You'll be missed.
On Blu ray I own
Twister
Titanic
Aliens
Club Dread
Frailty
Apollo 13
Tombstone
Tombstone is so good. Definitely watch that.
Where's True Lies?
Where's True Lies, Raijin?!
It's one of those movies I owned on DVD that I just haven't got around to replacing.
Probably because even without owning I've managed to watch it about 10 times a year
61 is not that old though
