So I was told by someone from Pandemonium Books that this center is almost 3 blocks. But they are not sure how much if not all will PAX actually book for the first Unplugged. Any word of how much or are they taking the whole place for the weekend?
Hard to tell. At the first South, PAX did not occupy the entire HBGCC. I am guessing this will not occupy the entirety of the PACC for the first show, but no news has been reported one way or the other.
So far, the Philly Convention Center's website just lists the Urban Affairs Coalition Annual Breakfast for that weekend (on the first day of the con). So, nothing major booked that weekend yet.

I'd be more concerned if they did have a listing for PAX. PAX never signs up for the event calendars, check for any one. This is no exception. This doesn't mean they haven't booked the space, it just means they specifically told the convention center not to put it on the calendar. For all we know, they have it booked until 2020 like some PAXes.
Is there some aspect of PAX's history that explains their general secrecy as compared to other big conventions?
Regarding the event calendars of convention centers, they have stated that they prefer to keep that under wraps until the discounted hotel blocks are released to the public.
