Which one had the girl with the tail who could predict the exact probability of any future event occurring?
That's literally the only thing I remember about either of them.
That was Trance Gemini from Andromeda
Much better in purple than gold, IMO
She lost the tail and a short time later changed color.
It's been like a decade since I watched Andromeda and I still maintain that it's first season was a good show. Then Kevin Sorbo got a producer credit and it went from a pseudo-ensemble show to the Kevin Sorbo Power Hour and by the final 2 seasons I legit couldn't follow the plot.
Robert Hewitt Wolfe, from DS9, was showrunner for the first two season of Andromeda. Then the studio forced him to dumb the show down and Kevin Sorbo eventually pushed him out.
I always confuse Lexx and Andromeda. Or more specifically, I thought they were the same show. I didn't watch either, I would just occasionally see ads on SciFi and my brain kind of merged them together as "that SciFi show I don't watch."
Or more accurately, probably "that SciFi show that isn't Farscape."
I saw commercials for lexx and put it into the category I have that is entitled, roughly, Things That Should Probably Just Be Porno
it pretty much was except without any actual nudity
they didn't have the budget for that, because that costed $3.50
Nah, Lexx had at least some nudity. I remember there being an episode where they pick up some hitchhikers or something and one of the girls gets a shower.
HBO orders to series horror anthology Lovecraft Country
One-hour drama
Pilot written by Misha Green, also showrunner
Executive producers: Green, Jordan Peele, JJ Abrams, Ben Stephenson
Peele's Monkeypaw Productions teaming with Abrams' Bad Robot and Warner Bros TV
Lovecraft Country focuses on 25-year-old Atticus Black. After his dad goes missing, Black, his friend Letitia, and his uncle George go on a road trip to find him across '50s Jim Crow America. Struggle to survive/overcome the racist terrors of white America and the malevolent spirits that could be ripped from a Lovecraft paperback
Goal: "anthological horror series that reclaims genre storytelling from the African-American perspective"
Medical Examiner was going on about "what if God was one of us", which prompted the Detective to absolutely bait her into quoting the song... except the ME had never heard that song because it came out 22 years ago and that's about the same age as she is.
Later she's listening to the song and loved it, which was amusing.
Ahahahahaha, what?? Isn't the ME on Lucifer played by Aimee Garcia? She's going to be 39 this year. She went to my high school and we did theater together.
Granted, I fell behind on Lucifer early this season and haven't seen it for a while, but she was the ME last time I did watch it.
Well, I don't know how to explain it other than she wasn't old enough to have heard it, because that song was fuckin' everywhere.

Yeah, it's just amusing to me. More so because we went to a Catholic high school, and I know that Aimee was a junior in high school who would have been at the very same assembly I was where we had to sit through one of the priests talking at length about the lyrics to that song and how he interpreted it as a man of faith.
Sapkowski has actually come to be okay with the games
I think his stance is generally, well I wouldn't have done it, but what you guys made is pretty alright
Looks like Fridays are going to be ABC's Sci-Fi/Fantasy Night. Once Upon a Time is getting the 8pm slot, leading into the upcoming Inhumans series, which will be replaced by Agents of SHIELD after it's 8 episode run.

Ehhhh. There's a waypoint article from like a month ago that has these choice quotes:
"The belief, widely spread by CDPR, that the games made me popular outside of Poland is completely false. I made the games popular. All of my translations in the West—including the English one—were published before the first game."
But Sapkowski is on record as claiming that for every reader he gained thanks to the success of the games, he lost another. Does he still believe that?
"I think the result would be about equal, yes. If anything, there are more people who have played the games because they read the books. That's my count, but I'm not sure. I never did any studies."

Even after watching quite a few episodes of Lexx, I think the same thing.
Farscape is the best show

A series based on The Witcher is being developed for Netflix
It'll be in English and specifically based on the books, not the games, and is being developed by the producers of The Expanse
Sure? I guess?

Ten bucks he tries to tank the series the moment they decide to do something he doesn't approve of.
He has a consultant credit on the series and a positive quote in the press release
Link.

Both of which seem pretty delusional.
