I thought Uprising was going to be similar to the Halloween event. Like a fun thing, but limited in the characters you can use. But I guess you can play as whoever you want in uprising? That's pretty cool, and like my #1 thing I'd love to see in Overwatch. Just give us a dedicated PvE mode! Something better than Vs AI.
Everyone has a price. Throw enough gold around and someone will risk disintegration.

There's two modes. One is with set characters and one with any four.
Mann vs Machine was one of my favorite updates to TF2.
Wait, you don't get to keep playing it past May 1st?
Hm, weird. Uh, yeah, I'm sure they'll eventually make me stop playing it too.
Really looking forward to that Blackwatch episode though.

Uprising was fun, until about the third time I played it when at the payload section someone essentially cheated, causing enemies to stop spawning. I'm hesitant to describe the cheat, but it is very simple and seems to be common knowledge, so now everyone does it, every time I try to play it. So I quit queuing.
Maybe they'll fix the bug before May 1?
edit: Then I check and it's been fixed since Monday. Nice!

I also used the spawn exploit, just to get the 80% payload achievement. I haven't tried harder difficulties, but I imagine you'll need a coordinated group of friends to even attempt it. The Vs. AI matches are always so ruthless for these events when compared to the ACTUAL Vs. AI matches you could play, haha.

This kind of thing makes me think they just half-baked something to gauge interest and feasibility, and withdrawing it is just in preparation for making it a real part of the product.

Withdrawing it is to drive scarcity of event items and therefore sales.
I don't know if it's just me, but I can never tell when Tycho is bullshitting. He's played the straight man for so long, I've always take him seriously.
