ancient native wolf spirit: your cause is totally just dude. you should definitely cowboy it up and take not one step back from that professional murderface coming right at you.
if I cut my hair I pay 25% VAT, if I buy a fridge, 25% VAT, if I buy a hooker, 25% VAT (although in that case the tax directorate can get in line behind the police)
milk and bread and pasta sauce, 15% though, to make it ever so slightly more progressive
Work had me take a survey on printer convenience, I guess for some sort of analytics as we change to a mew printer company?
It asked me to break down the distance to the nearest printer in increments of 25 feet, the distance to a secondary printer in similar increments, and asked me what my favorite features of the current printer setup were.
My response was "it prints what I ask, when I ask it."
Mine would probably be "it theoretically prints what I ask, if I were to ever ask it."

so I've started doodling little cartoons about this toy stuffed bird k boogie and I have (a bad kiiroitoiri knockoff that was the first thing I got her ... he has an incredibly elaborate back story and definite yet mutable characteristics) because she gets a real kick out of them
turns out I can draw him pretty well!
I always liked doodling when I was young but I never thought I was very good at it
I think it's because I'm making them very simple and it's more of an understanding of design and general artistic properties than actual technical skill

"If I go into a restaurant and eat a burger I pay 25% VAT
if I take it home though, I can save 10% though... I should be eating my 15% tax bread, but god damn it I need a fucking burger today"

I am not anti-tax, but if I lived in a place with that kind of a VAT, I'd be pretty damn pissed about it. Never heard a good argument why its not hugely regressive

That seriously would be the best thing in the world if the entire game is actually some native spirit tricking the guys into getting themselves killed.

the point of the law is not to have tax breaks for mcdonalds
it's to not have any odd definitions for what is and is not Groceries
it seems like the point of the law is to stop poor people from eating at restaurants
how on fucking earth do you get that from "groceries have less VAT than other products and services"
because they can walk in and get the same food as takeout, but they have to go home and eat it because they are too poor to afford to sit in the restaurant with all the affluent people
they probably could afford it since their milk is 10% cheaper

You prefer they couldn't even buy it as take out, as that would still be prepared food by you plan? Like you have jumped on so many weird arguments here, you are now arguing higher taxes on burger is good for poor people.

because it funds programs that are highly progressive and on balance, the poor are helped by the system.

In NJ at least, unprepared food is not taxed at all. So the milk costs nothing beyond the cost of the milk. Same with clothing and other 'essentials'.

that is a supremely stupid hypothetical. Nobody has ever thought like that.
5 kr difference does not matter to me if I'm buying a 90 - or 85 kr burger. I sit down if I'm killing time. I bring it with me if I'm going somewhere. And you would be very hard pressed to find someone for whom 5 kr is a larger slice of their total budget than me.
EDIT: also, as he said: it would be prepared food and more expensive wherever I eat it, in your case. So.. what?

Let's just stop paying taxes.
Go back to the barter system.
Hey, I'd like to get some of that meat you procured.
I'll sharpen all of your knives for you on a stone and cut you a few cords of firewood.
But I'm gonna be bummed if those dogs are grand wizards in the CKK (canine klux klan). I don't want to kill racist dogs
but they're racist
But are they?
Can a dog grasp the fundamental reasoning (or lack thereof) of Racism or are they just trying to be a Good Boy?
intent is irrelevant. stop trying to protect racists
I...
I have a racist dog...
Nurture man no dog is born racist, so stacey please tell us... how are brown people keeping you down?
It is a dog. The dog could have just had one bad experience with a black person in the same way it could have learned to hate brooms because a broom looked at it funny once.

he's like hey try this simple and obvious solution
and that worked
and then the owner shows up so, like, got to be more low key about dicking off now, can't craft mines
But are they?

Jesus Christ I am trembling with rage
Mine would probably be "it theoretically prints what I ask, if I were to ever ask it."

Uh
Um
dunno why he insisted the delivery guys didn't have to take it out, even when they asked
I'm pretty sure I could have installed it myself or with him to help attach the gas (which I'm guessing is pretty fool-safe as is)
