Maybe I'm being too presumptuous, but I think a lot of people forget that Danny and Arin, the Game Grumps, aren't the dudes who made Dream Daddy. It's written by Vernon Shaw, who works on GG in their studio (and used to be the creator and head of Hot Pepper Gaming) and Leighton Grey (an artist that Vernon is friends with, don't know her connection to GG if there is one). Vernon is gay, and Leighton describers herself as queer. Game Grumps gave them a space to work on the game, since Vernon already worked there, and funded the game as well as providing some of the voice acting. They basically published it. It's a genuine effort written and helmed by two queer people.
A lot of people don't forget that the Game Grumps didn't make Dream Daddy, because they don't bother to learn that Dream Daddy isn't by the Grumps in the first place.

He worked loss prevention at a Best Buy. To get arrested for shoplifting, you have to completely leave the store without paying. Travis saw a guy trying to shoplift some stuff. Travis called the cops to alert them to the shoplifting about to go down. As the guy passed the shoplifting tag detectors (which are still within the store), they beeped. The guy stopped, and looked at Travis, who was near the door. Travis told him, "You're good," so the guy would exit the store and get arrested.
As someone that worked LP you wanna convince them it's not worth taking
and to put it back without getting the police involved
Not lure them into a false sense of security so you can get them busted
I don't see how the onus of being that guy's look out is on Travis. The shoplifter knew the alarm went off he had the out of ' I was carrying something I forgot about' lots of people have shitty jobs with crappy obligations. Travis' job was not to go seek confrontation and I don't blame him for letting it go to protocol.

I... really don't care about this either way and don't understand why anyone would? It's a kind of funny story that happened many, many years ago. To a Travis that was effectively a completely different human being.
I don't see how the onus of being that guy's look out is on Travis. The shoplifter knew the alarm went off he had the out of ' I was carrying something I forgot about' lots of people have shitty jobs with crappy obligations. Travis' job was not to go seek confrontation and I don't blame him for letting it go to protocol.
As far as I am aware most loss prevention protocol is to stop the customer and ask that the items be returned
I don't really have any sympathy for best buy, but i don't have any for someone stealing from best buy either.
I'm not going to be so melodramatic as saying that my job depends on people not shoplifting or something, because that's not true
But it sure makes my day a little worse when I don't have something in stock I'm supposed to have because some shitbucket decides they deserve to get it for free
I'm not asking anyone to have sympathy for the corporate entity that is Best Buy, but like, there are human beings in those ugly buildings I'd ask folks to consider
