One time I was in a movie theater and I smelled syrup and there was a man eating pancakes with syrup in the movie theater

My girlfriend at the time in HS and I snuck a fried chicken dinner platter into The Longest Yard remake

like 6 pieces of mixed chicken, mac and cheese, green beans, black eyed peas, etc. etc.

She just shoved it into the biggest beach purse she had

A pair of Apollo-era NASA computers and hundreds of mysterious tape reels have been discovered in a deceased engineer’s basement in Pittsburgh, according to a NASA Office of the Inspector General (OIG) report released in response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.

Most of the tapes are unmarked, but the majority of the rest appear to be instrumentation reels for Pioneer 10 and Pioneer 11, NASA’s fly-by missions to Jupiter and Saturn.

The two computers are so heavy that a crane was likely used to move the machines, the report concluded.

Weird marketing tie-in for 17776 but alright

Also all the college students get murdered violently while the song continues over the top of the death montage.

I'm pretty sure I'm probably just thinking of a movie I've seen at some point.

the spoken word parts of the song are pretty much exactly the vibe of that first part

In this week's Totally Reprise, Clover is mind controlled instead of Sam, so I have to reevaluate my whole worldview.
"He sounds like a real dirtbag to me."
"He was on the last episode of this podcast, so that's kind of funny." "What? Oh, oh, that Mike!"
"I finally broke down and listened to your fuckin' rogue podcast over on a competing network"
"Anyway, I don't have any friends anymore, is what I've come to learn, from doing podcasting, in general, really"
"He has the Monstar virus!" That is still one of the most ridiculous things I know about Coheed and Cambria, and the competition is stiff
I am getting some mixed messages here from Molly about how sad Nier: Automata is
"I just want to know if the word 'killectable' has been used." "Okay. I don't think so." "I don't think so? Have we checked the Duke Nukem games? It seems like a good place to start."
"Good, I'm excited to be mad at you, oh my GOD NOOOOOOOOO"
"Okay, what show title has 'absolutely' in it that we can ruin next?"
"I love it when every time someone gets super smart on this, they just point out what bullshit everything is."
"This kid loves working under Clover." "Oh, he loves working under Clover alright." "Yup."
"Yeah this is Totally Spies: Under Clover."
"I have absolutely had days where I had plans, someone said, hey, is today a good day to podcast, and I go sure, and then call up and cancel the plans I already had." "Luke." "I didn't realize Emily would make this the intervention episode."
Ashley is reading the Fighting Foodons wiki, so this is suddenly a fever dream.
"Well, I'm glad we finally figured out what show we're going to do after Totally Spies is done."
"Just point this at your face for five seconds, and you'll look like a lotus seed pod!" "UuuuuUUUUuuuggggghhhch, why would you SAY that?"
"I do know at one point GLADIS gets decommissioned" If that's going to happen, why wouldn't it happen after last episode, there IS NOT A BETTER REASON
"She pulls an Edward Cullen." god damnit
"I have seen all the Twilight movies in theaters." "Oh, wow. Okay." "It was mostly ironic, but near the end, it kind of got real."
"And then Sam finds the blueprints to that spider computer VR helmet, on Clover's desk, and Clover's been doing all the crimes this entire season."
"He eventually gets on the ground, and starts begging for this video game" "No no no no no no, he gets on the ground and starts begging for this 'wideo game.'"
"It's supposed to be a Russian accent, but it totally works as a weird like, baby thing." oh NO
"Uh, I don't like this big vine monster." "Really? Really?" "You don't like it?" "..." "I thought you'd like it."
    "She's stroking a white cat, it's perfect. It's purrrrfect."
"Well, now we know that Clover is definitely a robot that magnets work on." That's always important to establish.
"We make a bad show that no one can listen to, unless you've listened to every episode of the show, like that's bad, that's not what you want." That's exactly what I want
Ashley called Molly hardcore Bubbles, and I think this is the rest of her life now.
"My cat just brought in a dead mouse." I can't believe that happened on air
"What the fuck was the team in Sun and Moon?" "It was the Ether Foundation." "Alright, good job nerd." "You asked!" "Yeah, you're still a nerd."
Okay, it is officially Travels Boy, not Travel Boy, I'll keep that in mind.
"There are probably thousands of wives that die every day, and none of their husbands become a Punisher." "All killed by Claudio Sanchez."

Kit Harrington is in the sequel and it took me about half the movie to realize it was him and he is also TERRIBLE.

And it's also a bad movie sequel to a movie that already wasn't great.

Of all the sins that movie commits, I think the actual most evil might be making Pyramid Head a heroic figure.

    Juggalos are just misunderstood.

Pac Man's character is difficult to explain even to the Japanese -- he is an innocent character. He hasn't been educated to discern between good and evil. He acts more like a small child than a grown-up person. Think of him as a child learning in the course of his daily activities. If someone tells him guns are evil, he would be the type to rush out and eat guns. But he would most probably eat any gun, even the pistols of policemen who need them.

a law got passed here a few years ago, that any food items bought in the cinema complex or mall can be brought into the movie theater proper

so you can just buy some chinese food or ice cream or a full goddamn mcdonald's meal and seat yourself down to watch a fast and the furious movie

Vampire is kind of a disingenuous term for the New England tradition. It wasn't used at all at the time - that's something we've imposed on it in the modern day. It was just a folk remedy for consumption, historically speaking.

I'm approaching the end of Counterweight (on the last episode before the three-part finale)

They've found really good sort of twists in this last arc that redefine the player characters and make it feel like they've really been on a journey over the campaign

except for Aria, who's pretty much just "also there"

Cass, Mako, and AuDy have their entire worlds changed and have to reidentify their senses of self in light of these revelations

Aria, who is also there, watches and is supportive

I'm sure something's coming, but so far, she's been kinda backgrounded
