So we're getting a sort of preview of Blue Mage in 4.5. Looks like it gains monster abilities via unique instances combat or something instead of by leveling up.
I say preview because it's capped at level 50 for now. Probably a way to test out the job's direction so they can iron out issues later. Hopefully it gets expanded to level 80 by the time ShBr comes out. I know I'll be giving it a shot.
I've played a cool dragon man ever since I've started this game but I might just have to switch to a male Viera depending on how they look. I've still got a Fantasia banked that I can't recall how I actually got.
It's weird, I rarely play male characters in RPGs anymore but after making my dragon man I was instantly attached.
The way they describe it I'm expecting BLU to never really be something you take into current content. I don't think they'd make a BLU-specific dungeon if you were just taking them normally into raids. I'm not sure. The whole title of Limited Job definitely seems like they're trying to manage expectations.

I think they would. They could have solo instanced versions of dungeons or boss fights meant solely for you to go in and learn enemy skills.
Speaking of, they showed off Bad Breath, 1000 Needles, 5-Tonze Weight, and Shiva's ice bow.
Hey if I'm wrong and it's a regular-ass thing egg on my face. I just think people are jumping through some hoops with ideas like "beta testing a class" and stuff
I'd like to take another crack at some of the story fights (the fight with the WoDs and Naadam are at the top of the list) so NG+ sounds cool. Not sure how I feel about BLU, I need more details.

I wonder if Blue Mage skill learning is permanent or temporary, and how limited it will be. Last MMO I played that let you learn enemy abilities you could only do one at a time.
Operating under the assumption that Blue Mage will be a proper combat class, what do you think the limit break will be? I’ve my fingers crossed for Grand Delta.
Also, I hope we can learn moves from the Warring Triad. It’d be neat to go and learn Quasar from the Goddess, as you did In FFVI.

I'd like to do the Naadam again. Or those DRK quest boss fights.
The story quests are the largest single source of XP so this is actually plausible.
Maybe to go back and play things they paid to skip?
I am concerned about the increasing leveling time for alt classes each expansion as it never really seems to get better.
