I was about to jump in with my revolutionary "Venom but a girl", but I guess that's been done too.

    My next proposal: double-Venom.

That's a Venom who has a whole 'nother second Venom layered on top.

Technically that was just Venom for years (he absorbed a cloned Venom symbiote as Eddie Brock (I think) and then years later Flash Thompson used the suit to save a young girls life and accidentally gave her the absorbed symbiote, turning her into Mania.)

    Stop stealing my ideas, Marvel.

    Although that's a Venom-in-Venom; I want a Venom-over-Venom. You know the differences between a human and a human-with-a-symbiote? I want the same degree of difference between a human-with-a-symbiote and a human-with-a-symbiote-with-a-symbiote.

It's like when a guy gets into a mecha and then that mecha gets into a bigger mecha.

    But with Venoms.

I dunno. This would have more weight if Peter had just not gotten a very similar new nemesis recently.

    Uuuuuuuugh

"The hero, but evil" is the most boring, overplayed villain archetype, and the spider-books have such a great and varied rogues gallery, so this is super bland and disappointing
It's a logical conclusion for a character that was blackmailing his nephew into becoming a theif and criminal like him.
" Oh, in this universe I can just put on a super suit to get those powers?"

Something disappointing for me personally in the most recent Miles Morales Spider-Man issue isn't the Iron Spider reveal (which I'm interested in), its:
the reveal of why Goldballs left. He thought Lana and Miles were gonna get together, and didn't want to see it and ran away. Considering all the hints I were picking up were PTSD (he freaks out after saving Miles from Hammerhead in the first time he's actually fought as a hero since Death of X where Cyclops died, he is hyperventilating when trying to actually psych himself up to fight, and has a fucking thousand yard stare while setting up all alone in his room the night after the fight), having it just be a crush thing is really fucking lame to me, to the point that I hope its a fake-out.

Lana continues to be awesome though. Her standing up to her mother, who the moment she got out of prison wanted to commit more crimes, was extremely brave of her.

it was clear to me from when he left it was because he likes Lana and was jealous she likes Miles

I admit I might have missed some things, but that was my read on it from months ago. I guess I'll need to re-read the issues.

It did take balls to have an intercompany crossover be the place where you kill off your flagship title and set up their replacement. Especially if you can't even reprint the story.

So, I enjoyed the concept of the "My Dinner With Jonah" issue of Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man, but was kinda ehh on the actual execution. I felt like too much of it was two people screaming at each other and trying to verbally hurt each other.

Like, I guess I understand that these two characters have a lot of emotional history with each other, a lot of tension and baggage, and that sometimes people can't shelve their emotions and have a cool-headed conversation, but... I just really wanted an issue where these two characters take the opportunity of being alone in a room together to actually talk something out, rather than spew invective.
