In the past week or so, I got pre-approved for a home loan, had an interview for a GA position that would pay for my Master's and throw me a stipend, and got Super Ghouls and Ghosts, Kid Icarus, and Kirby's Adventure on the VC.
This is damned exciting, because now I may not have to rent (throw money away) and can have a kitty for the first time since like... high school. Also, ya know.. Nintendo games, woo.
So, any suggestions on securing that a given house's infrastructure is in good shape and/or other good VC games? Word.

No, I don't think so. Where I plan to go in life English is the least of my problems.
Besides, having to learn 3 different languages when your young can make an impression on you. Also keep in mind this is the freaking interent. Spell checks and grammer checks aren't needed unless your a grammer nazi. Then of course, I am the worst person to meet.

It was bad for buying about 6-8 months ago, but then people realized that they weren't going to get 400,000 for a 2 bedroom 1 bath and now it's back down to more sane levels (least in my area).

In Atlanta, the further you get away from the city you get more space for less cash. People are moving further out because of this and commutes are becoming insane. This is making houses closer to the city sky rocket in price.
I don't even want to think of how much my Parent's house must cost now.

yeah, individual areas vary greatly, for example in California it is NEVER EVER a buyers market, its always expensive and just gets more expensive, the only good thing there to change is the interest rate you might get. nationally though I believe we're in a buyers market because the feds haven't bumped interest rates in a while. although that hole sub-prime mortgage thing screwed some of that goodwill up.

Pre-approved for a loan != Owning a house. I'm probably house shopping this weekend.
