You should call it “Everything but rap and country”

I'm not sure I'm liking RUTRRM. I'm 44 minutes in and they've only gone through the members of the band once.
I'm still not sure who's hitting those circles or strumming those 4-string guitars.
I’m only 24 minutes in myself, and while I agree, I feel like I’ve now definitely at least heard of R.E.M., so I’m not going to complain.
Wait this is the first time you’ve heard of REM?
Roll me into my coffin right now, because my ancient form can’t last too much longer.
They’re doing a bit from the U2 show. The show was only occasionally them ever talking about U2, often reminding the audience after an hour of talking about anything else that you were listening to the foremost compendium of knowledge on the band U2
“By the end of this series you will be able to say that you... have heard of U2”

Maybe!
I do have a bunch of bizarre holes in my musical and movie and general pop culture knowledge in general.
Also I would like to have people try to teach me about rap and country, that's the whole idea actually.

Its good to be reminded on occasion that sometimes I'm presented with things other people enjoy and I cannot fathom it on any level
keeps me grounded
Isn't this like, several times a day though?
Usually I can sort of get the appeal of a thing, even if it doesn't work for me
Like I get WHY monster hunter should be cool, even if I don't like it
But I seriously couldn't even understand what they were saying on that because of the overlaying
But also I have trouble understanding people in restaurants so maybe thats a me problem
See, sometimes people wanna pay money to eat food they don't have to prepare
Idiots, you can just make pancakes at home
For awhile I was patronizing the same coffee shop regularly after work and then one time while I was paying the proprietor mentioned how you can make coffee at home with sort of a weird look on their face and it took me a few days to understand that they were trying to suggest I stop patronizing the business so I placed a curse on the address and now it is shuttered

Wait why would you want to discourage a regular customer from coming in
A music book club podcast would be fun but its tough legally to play those bits of the songs and stuff, Ima fix wolves is a similar idea, though I'd be down for one that was broader than just hip hop

Who says you need to play clips of the song? We could just talk about them by track number and timecode if totally necessary. Though we'd have to stick to stuff that is available online streaming if we want the audience to follow along.

He says he was paying, but none of his money ever cleared the bank
I challenge anyone to distinguish between my home made currency and the genuine article
I realize you could get the average person on the street, but a trained professional is going to notice the giant SAMPLE stamp across the face eventually.

For me the question is rarely why do people like X, but why don’t people like Y, where Y is a thing I like.

It's true that people didn't bathe super regularly way back.
But it's also true that they went to great lengths to cover up that stank with perfumes and other odors and shit because it's a stank ass nasty.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.

If you're trying to mask your regular odor with shit, things are very wrong with you

I was going to say it's historically accurate that Napoleon loved stank but then I tried to look up that quote about him telling Joesephine to not wash but it's lies! Lies! Somebody made up a lie about Napoleon likin it dirty!

It’s not who you want it to be, but it’s still pretty good

You know
I actually might've guessed that one!

It would’ve been further down the list for me
My initial instinct was Daisy Ridley, the nonjoke answer
And then I remembered who it was and I desperately wanted it to be TC-14
I suppose it’s unfortunate for Griffin that he’s much more of a Woody than a Buzz

If Scott & Scott don’t have the proper reverence for Reckoning, REM’s best album by a million miles and a perfect piece of music, I will be cross

That or I still kinda want to do a book club podcast or something.
Wait what if we smoosh the ideas together and do like a book club but sometimes for albums?

Wait til you meet Iggy.
No no, that's part 5.
It just keeps getting worse/funnier
God you smell like shit
Take me
Well, it is accurate in that I associate that "I choose not to shower" smell with the sort of fuck who would support grumblegort.
Assuming you're referring to the title of a feature containing "boy", Justin and Griffin McElroy work for Polygon, not Waypoint.
Or maybe I'm missing something and you're talking about something else.

Hoisted by my own petard!
It’s hardly the norm though.
nope, I got them confused
heauuuuuuurrrghhhhhhhhhh

I'd 100% be down for an album club.
