Editing posts after one day.

I am trying to maintain a list of currently available 3rd party pins, please see below.

It does not seem that I am able to edit my post after 24 hours. Is there a way to change this or will I have to start a new thread each time I need to do an update?

You can add new pins in subsequent posts, but the edit limit will remain. This software isn't really intended to be used as a wiki unfortunately.

I am confused. I just edited a post from a couple months ago to test this out. And I know in the past I've edited posts multiple days in a row (when running games, for example). Am I misunderstanding the limitation here?

I just went and edited the OP for the STO thread, and that is well over three years old now. Is it different for different forums?

I do get that the forum's not really meant for this, but it seems to be SOP for game threads and the like to have rolling edits on the OP as long as the thread lasts, which can be a long time for some of them.

I think there is a difference between editing an OP and a reply post.

I've done both. I tested both in my previous post, actually, but only linked the OP.

iirc, the rules are different for accounts with a limited posting history.

This is true, but the permissions are the same between these accounts. I will confess I don't know what the problem is and will ask @iruka if she knows.

I'll look at the settings after lunch.

It seems It was because I was not considered a regular user yet. After I got that status it started working.

That's good because I did not look at the forums during lunch. After a look, this is working in accordance to our current settings.
