So today when I booted up my PC I noticed my internet was very slow. I ran a speed test and on my 5GHz channel from my Xfinity connection I was getting 1.3MB/s, which is really slow. Usually we get 50-80. Ok, switched to the 2.4 channel, and I', getting 40MB/s, still slower then usual but better then 1. But whats up with the 5GHz? So I rebooted my wifi adapter on my PC (a Linksys AC1200 WUSB6300), didn't fix it. I rebooted my router (TP Link, AC1350), and my router. Still no dice. Ok so I pulled out my phone and tablet, both of those are getting around 50MB/s on my 5GHz connection, had the fiancee try hers and same thing, so something is preventing my PC from getting the speed I normally do. Signs seems to point to my adapter, but if it wasn't working...wouldn't it just not work?
I also recently installed some smart devices, an Amazon EchoPlus, some light bulbs, a Fire TV, and a smart plug, the TV and Echo are also on the 5GHz network, but I would think if their slowing my PC down, they'd slow the other devices down as well.
Any suggestions on what I should try with this one?
Thanks.

Since the PC is the only device having issues, and just on 5GHz we can assume it's the adapter on the PC. If the thing is a couple years old, there's a chance that the 5GHz antenna/radio on the adapter is just burned out. I've seen that happen on occasion.
In that respect, would it be better to just buy a permanent antenna for my PC, something like This one

I have one with an antenna setup like that and I just stick the antenna on the desk. At the very least it's more flexible because you don't have these plastic antennas right on the back of a PC that might interfere with other cables.
