Wolverine (born James Howlett) commonly known as Logan and sometimes as Weapon X) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, mostly in association with the X-Men. He is a mutant who possesses animal-keen senses, enhanced physical capabilities, powerful regenerative ability known as a healing factor, and three retractable claws in each hand. Wolverine has been depicted variously as a member of the X-Men, Alpha Flight, and the Avengers.
The character appeared in the last panel of The Incredible Hulk #180 before having a larger role in #181 (cover-dated Nov. 1974). He was co-created by Marvel editor-in-chief Roy Thomas, writer Len Wein, and Marvel art director John Romita, Sr. Romita designed the character, although it was first drawn for publication by Herb Trimpe. Wolverine then joined a revamped version of the superhero team the X-Men, where eventually writer Chris Claremont and artist-writer John Byrne would play significant roles in the character's development. Artist Frank Miller collaborated with Claremont and helped revise the character with a four-part eponymous limited series from September to December 1982, which debuted Wolverine's catchphrase, "I'm the best there is at what I do, but what I do best isn't very nice."
Wolverine is typical of the many tough antiheroes that emerged in American popular culture after the Vietnam War; his willingness to use deadly force and his brooding nature became standard characteristics for comic book antiheroes by the end of the 1980s.:277 As a result, the character became a fan favorite of the increasingly popular X-Men franchise, and has been featured in his own solo comic since 1988.
He has appeared in most X-Men adaptations, including animated television series, video games, and the live-action 20th Century Fox X-Men film series, in which he is portrayed by Hugh Jackman in nine of the ten films. The character is highly rated in many comics best-of lists, ranked #1 in Wizard magazine's 2008 Top 200 Comic Book Characters; 4th in Empire's 2008 Greatest Comic Characters and 4th on IGN's 2011 Top 100 Comic Book Heroes.

I thought this thread was about Laura Kinney. You know, Wolverine.
Ahahahahahaha
No she's a woman, Joel
She can't be wolverine
You'd be surprised who women can be these days
He tricked Stephen into thinking the Vishanti had abandoned him, and Stephen has been left so rattled after the Emperikul and everything over the last few years, he believed it. Loki did it to show Stephen how weak he's been (while also bringing back magic along the way) to shake him out of his funk and get him ready to handle the oncoming threats to the MU.
Stephen, being Stephen, almost got them all killed trying to get his mantle back because he immediately wrote Loki off as unworthy and was blinded by his own arrogance.
Stephen and Sentry, they are able to lock The Void (who had manifested a physical form and bonded with Stephen) away in Stephen's big DO NOT OPEN EVER vault in the Sanctum.
Sentry almost takes Stephen's head off before telling them they're, essentially, both idiots and to never bother him again before flying off
And also pretty good in that The Sentry is now out there for telling stories about which aren't just lol The Void

He's working on Damnation, which is a 4 issue mini, with Cates but not on the main Doctor Strange book itself which is 100% Cates
Don't want to know anything else. Just if it shows up.

SERIOUSLY, SPOILERS BE HERE.
Bit of a shame that they continue the trend of killing off villains, BUT, at least they handled it a little differently, with Killmonger deciding to not be taken into custody, and T'Challa offering to save his life.
Also, killing off Klaue, came out of frigging nowhere! Really wasn't expecting that, and was a bit disappointed with that too.
Apart from that though, very solid movie. Felt there was a nice balance between humour, action and drama.
Sorry, tried to keep it pretty vague because I know a lot of people haven't had a chance to see it yet and I am also one of those people terrible at not clicking spoilers!

He's always been one of my favourite characters, and he was awesome in Civil War. I really hope the movie does him justice!
Wakanda is maybe the only place in the world where bucky can have something approaching a life instead of being treated as just a war criminal, t'challa will protect him from international persecution, being a wakandan secret agent plays to his strengths way more than being cap, and working for an actual community gives him more purpose than being a mercenary. I'm very down for him being a supporting character in black panther 2
I wonder if they will connect the heart shaped herb to the super soldier serum to further bind those two parts of the universe
"The living are not done with you yet" is such a good line.

I was *this close* to doing a double bill with Shape of Water tonight, but 4 and a half hours is a bit much to spend in a cinema, never mind the tonal whiplash, so have to wait for after lunch tomorrow.
I've enjoyed him a good bit in the silver surfer issues preceding it as a co-lead, secondary viewpoint fella, but thanos as sole protagonist really did not do it for me
I spose it illustrated how dangerous a living thanos is for the ease with which he collected the gems but it just felt dramatically inert, and even coming off of 70s captain marvel had way too much exposition to make sure you understand the genius move thanos just pulled and the rules that govern it and the proper rebranding of the soil stones and honk shoo dot com im good
but all of his guile in the encounters with the stone's possessors is built on the back of "i understand something about this specific stone/situation that you have no idea of" and that turns every contest less into a peek into thanos' character and more an explanation of that infinity stone's power. it just tired me out
his encounter with the gardener was the best, but it too is too concerned with making sure you fully understand the mechanics of how the infinity stone works, rather than just trusting the reader to understand what's necessary and also be intrigued by the seemingly inexplicable
