UnPub: Playtest tomorrow's hit games
First Look: A new area of PAX Tabletop that debuted at PAX Unplugged. First Look is a small area of Tabletop Freeplay with dedicated tables for playing the hottest games, a mix of new releases and pre-release previews. The area is staffed with Enforcers who are happy to help form player groups and teach game rules. Here is a list of the games that will be available for play in First Look.
Megagame Zone: We'll be hosting megagames on Thursday and Sunday. For Thursday's "Watch the Skies" game, players can register onsite, or obtain a limited number of online pre-reg tickets now. Note that Watch the Skies is a charity event with a $50 registration fee(UPDATE: The Watch the Skies game has been cancelled, but replaced in this timeslot is a tutorial/walkthrough experience, where players can get an introduction to Megagames free of charge. No registration requried.) Registration for Sunday's "Future Tense" game is free, and will open at 10AM on Thursday at Tabletop HQ.
Tabletop Tournaments:
PAX-run Tournaments: The full list of Tabletop Tournaments is available here. Registration for all tournaments is held at Tabletop HQ, and opens at 10AM on the day of the event. A variety of games both old and new will have their PAX tourney debut at this convention, such as NMBR9, Stone Age, Kingdomino+Queendomino, Terra Mystica, and the Munchkin CCG.
Yeah, I'm only doing Sunday this year. I'll take notes and share here if people are interested. (Fair warning though, I'm terrible at following up on these things so you might need to remind me in a few weeks.)

The folks running that panel (the GeekNights podcast) are very good about recording their PAX panels for later YouTube posting
Anyone know if MtG tends to be popular in the freeplay areas? Definitely gonna check out what Pastimes has on offer -- Commander and Masters 25 Sealed are particularly exciting -- but I was also hoping to take my Pauper deck for a spin, and I don't see any scheduled events for it, so I'd like to try my luck in the freeplay areas.
Still kicking myself because my hero Daisuke Amaya (Pixel) was at PAX East 2014 the same day as me and I didn't see him
