I hate the missions that have some random operator that has to do 3-4 things. It's such a crap shoot of whether the enemy will target them or not.

I got no clue what yall are talking about with Crossbones. He may not insta-kill entire teams, but he takes out a huge chunk of every enemy's health and he's my first target in Blitz and Arena because he can do the same to me. After he does his explosion anyone not taken out is out in about 1 hit.
He's pretty ubiquitous in Arena and Blitz

During the two turns it takes for him to charge that up, I could probably kill one dangerous unit with another DPS, and he's squishy enough that he needs another tank to protect him. His offense down proc is nice when it works I guess?

One turn if he gets lucky and Jessica feeds him energy I guess

I dunno, for AoE damage I'd rather use Punisher, personally

Of course, he's hilarious when he crits himself and half the other team dodges his claymore chestplate, so he's got a permanent place on my team. Other team members: Hand Sorceress, SHIELD Medic, Hydra Rifleman and Elektra.

I've never had Punisher do that much damage really. I don't really even bother taking out Punisher when I see him in Arena or Blitz. He's damn near the bottom of my priority. He just never seems to do much.

What are you guys spending power cores on?
In Star Wars, i'd put a lot of them into energy refreshes to grind out character shards/gear but in Marvel i find myself running out of energy more than i need to refresh the node, and energy refills are a different form of currency

I've been using it on energy, nothing else you can buy for power cores seems even remotely in the same hemisphere as reasonably priced

And that is speaking as a person who, generally speaking, has no problems spending money on mobile games

I use cores for level resets but only when they still cost 50 the first couple of times each day. I'm mostly farming yondu shards that way.

I kind of bleed them a little for various things each day, like raid heals for a last push or wanting to blitz/arena more.

I spent a lot of them on premium orbs early but that was a bad idea. Thankfully you seem to earn them at reasonable pace bit I'd love to have my initial stock back

There are three team setups that I avoid in Blitz.

And they all involve Quake and Drax.

Fuck auto-taunt and fuck slow. I can mitigate the effects with Black Widow and Captain America but damn if it ain't annoying.

The only reason I have most of the characters I do is that I've been playing since beta (January-ish when I made a NZ account to download the game) and the node farms were different. Black Widow had a farm but it looks like they realized how important she is for making Hulk and Thor actually useful. They're too slow otherwise.

yesterday was the first time I've noticed anyone knocking me down in arena tiers. I went from 900 to 1100. I guess I've hit the beginning of where people fight for it

yeah there's an explanation in the game that separate arenas are created and filled as people join

There were a lot of very early post-release people complaining that they were stuck with Beta people who were already at 50. Unless it's changed, it seems to be based on when you first join.

also by-the-by: for as shit as the shard rewards are (and they are really shit) i put in just a little bit of extra effort last blitz to get up to milestone 6 and that was enough to place me in the top 11-25%, which nets you 3 premium orbs and change

a silver lining to the rewards being really not incentivizing, i guess. it's not super spicy but something worth considering i think

Thor was the early advice people gave on raid tokens, though the raid orbs were the more long term play because it was more overall shards per ticket.

I'm spending that shit on blue gear orbs now that we're doing level 40 raids in my alliance, because the blue gear shit is definitely my bottleneck and one orb gives a very nice chunk of those.

Looking at the #1, if I actually kept up with it I could probably go as far as I wanted realistically, but I think this is probably going to be a game where I do my daily stuff and then stop until they smooth some stuff out, it's rapidly hit a point where it has slowed down to the point where the avenues for improving my team are basically exhausted by the time I finish going down the daily checklist anyway
