i've told the story a few times probably but when we were moving into our new warehouse i was walking around with the guys installing all the network hardware and cables and stuff and apparently one of the techs had worked himself into having a bunch of male end patches needing to join to other male end patches
and the older boss guy was like
obama made gay marriage legal but i don't think that works for network cables
and i mean, it had that kind of stank on it like this guy is probably not actually cool with gay marriage
but also it was p dang funny

i'm not sure if the bob's burgers trans character(s) are good or if the joke is often just that they are trans
like, i would expect the show to be fairly progressive about it, but i dunno
regardless the taxi episode was great
Its hard to tell if any given character on bob's burgers is trans because so many of the women are voiced by men in the first place. And the show just doesn't go there, generally. It's not something that would come up. I guess most signs point to Marshmallow being trans or some unspecified gender queer, but there's no real joke about it I don't think.
