I just love the complete non-reaction from the cat. Mine would've smacked at it as it was coming, and then bat at it from the left and right and give chase.

If that is true then I think the horse just loves the attention it has recieved.

I immediately recognized that toy once I saw the balls at the bottom of the cat's neck.

Now I really want that for my cat.

This isnt an appropriate attitude for this thread.

To put a more positive spin on this, the fact that there's a sheet of paper there to let the person coming in decide which way they want to be greeted (hug, handshake, fist bump, and or high five) actually bypasses any consent problems that would otherwise occur. If you don't like to be hugged, you don't get hugged. It's a beautiful and simple way to teach consent to kids. The only thing I would do if I were there is add "wave" as one of the choices for kids who don't like being touched.

My daughter's preschool does this. However...

When she was around 2 and a half, the kids would come in, lift up the fronts of their shirts to around neck height and rub their bellies against each other. Like they had invented their own handshake. In about 2 days, every single kid in the class was doing this to each other, to say hello or goodbye to every other kid. The teacher said he'd never seen it before but was pretty sure it would fall off if we just let it happen, and sure enough, in about a month it stopped. Coolest thing ever, like watching a new society develop. (Pictures/video not allowed of other kids in the school or I'd show you.)

Right down to the fact that people would also probably rip peoples faces off if we were kept as pets.

Like a school of furry land piranhas. Reduce a full grown horse to a bloody skeleton in 60 seconds, that poor man never stood a chance.

Apparently Russia is a place you can just walk around with a whole fox on your shoulder and no one even bats an eye.

    I must go there.

There was a long-running experiment in Russia (started in the Soviet Union) where biologists domesticated foxes. They took wild foxes and bred them until they ended up with foxes that act like dogs. They can be walked on leashes and snuggled and they're kinda like having big puppies that just happen to look like foxes.

Here's a couple begging for treats.

Kinda wondering if that lady has one of the domesticated ones.
