I'm starting to get into this game, and am fairly quiet on the forums and everywhere really, but if a PC clan invite comes my way that'd be rad. edit:bobAkirafett is my name, just about everywhere
starting to get to the point where im losing a lot of missions, im guessing ill need to buddy up with the clan more, since most of the missions i was losing couldnt find any randoms
How far are you?
I'm level 4 on ceres or something. Some of the bosses are getting harder, and the move the payload missions are tough solo cos they eat your shield
Also damn there's a massive uptick in difficulty in defence missions when you get to the 15-20 rounds

I forgot to ask what platform you are on but if you are on PC feel free to message me for help. Do you have Rhino yet? He will make moving the payload a lot easier.

Does mission difficulty scale to number of players? Or... what’s the deal with that.
Unlocked Phobos and Ceres Junctions. Atomos seems to have gotten a revamp since I last played because it is hilarious now with how it burns and chains like crazy in groups of mooks.

I'm on Xbox one and the clan on it is super helpful, just been going off on my own for a bit and started to hit a rough patch.

all beam weapons did, try an amprex when you can. it's... i don't have words for how good it is.
I know that Warframe is hardly the hardest SF, but I have to say that the whole thing with the heads (in Fortuna) stretches my suspension of disbelief to the breaking point. Removing the heads, storing them, keeping them and the meatbodies (which now have no way of eating normally) alive, and rigging them for (whatever limited degree of) remote control has got to be more expensive than an explosive collar or just plain shackles and other low-tech means of keeping them in line. And even if the cost is put on the worker's account as more debt, isn't the idea to extract as much profit as possible? Why invest all those extra creds, up front, in every one?
The whole thing really makes me think that someone had a Cool Visual Concept and then had to come up with a slightly plausible justification for it. But one person's Rule of Cool is another's silly and/or stupid evil. Evil for the sake of being evil, from the faction that's supposed to be the most focused on the bottom line.

From memory the spawn rate of enemies is based in the area of a player. So more players higher rate of enemies spawning. Might be a bit more but I dont remember exactly

With the advanced nano technology, and perhaps some stretched understanding of entangled particles providing communication, it makes soft sci fi sense. There are always ways around collars or threats of death, but if someone has your head in a remote location, but is still functional as a head even from there, you're pretty much beholden. Who knows what kind of cost or compensation is involved, I imagine in the story it works out in a way that wouldn't here on regular old earth.

The only impact a party has that I can recall is in survival. You get a boost of air canisters dropping when you're solo. There's no effect on spawn rate that I know of, that's all dependent on line of sight, how many areas are adjacent to the players that they can spawn in etc.
Again, I think it's the contrast between the (unnecessarily?) elaborate but allegedly "cool" thing, and the absurd form that corporate evil takes in most genre fiction (including Warframe), vs. the grim reality: shackles, cages, sticks/pipes/truncheons, and bullets to the back of the head are all far cheaper and more common. (See also this xkcd, contrasting "Hollywood hacking" with "beat him with a wrench until he gives up the password.")
But I'm guessing most gamers would rather confront the cartoon version, with a catchy song romanticizing the plight of the workers, than an accurate depiction of how most of the world (barely) lives, here and now, and always has.
(Hell, keeping humans alive in space and using them as workers, period, when you have good automation (the Corpus' hallmark), is inefficient and expensive. The only organics involved in the whole affair should be the Owners, secure in their distant palaces, while their machines toil endlessly in factory hives dug into various moons and asteroids, without life support or even lighting, disassembling the Origin System and turning it into more paperclips proxies and profit.)
I couldn't say what's common, even with the crime statistic I have at my fingertip it doesn't really paint a clear picture. Assuming you or anybody has an accurate take on what grim reality is, no video game or work of fiction is going to mirror it accurately. The point of these works is entertainment, not even the weak education that some historical fiction proposes.
What's cheaper in this world of complete fiction, completely disconnected from what we know except as a distant frame of reference so as to justify what investment we have in the "human" perspective of the main character, is an unknown. They could write up whatever economic system they wanted, depending on what kind of supply and demand they have, and we'd have no data to refute it. I don't think how closely it emulates what we identify with in our own lives is a good metric for plausibility.

Also Nef Anyo is the type of individual to deploy forced labor to build a giant statue of himself. I assume it's less "this is entirely needed" and more about a power trip and making a point that you do not cross Nef in ANY way.
Jupiter Junction unlocked now as well. Though it seems prior to star chart revamp I did a lot of the missions here so they're unlocked already. So I'll be able to unlock Europa and Saturn Junctions pretty easily, mostly just need to satisfy their conditionals.

I think on some mission types like defense, survival, interception and excavation and maybe the payload one it reduces the number of enemy spawns a little when you're solo, but beyond that it doesn't scale. The reduced spawn rate can also be annoying on excavation and survival missions when enemy spawns are a useful resource for power cells or life support packs.
The things you get in the daily login; is there a way to "store" them or something?
Specifically yesterday I got a 2hr booster when I logged in, but I logged in at a time I couldn't really play just to check something, and had no idea a booster was an option from those.
you cannot save boosters and platinum discounts from the login bonus, the platinum discounts in particular are intentionally designed that way to cause you to make impulse purchases.
Evil for the sake of being evil, from the faction that's supposed to be the most focused on the bottom line.
I like to imagine those scenes from the Austin Powers movies with Number Two and Doctor Evil, except Number Two is Ergo Glast and Doctor Evil is Frohd Bek.
That's the real reason he left to found the Parrin Sequence.
Alright, I'm trying to give this another shot, and something has changed in the last month or two. Using a controller, the little...aiming icon...shows up when trying to do menus. And instead of just hitting the D-pad up and down to go through menus, I have to use the right stick to scroll menus up and down and then the D-pad or left stick to move the aiming icon over on top of the option/item to select it or manipulate it. Like I can no longer go to the audio options and click left/right to adjust the volume, I have to use the left stick to pick somewhere along the bar and click X to make the bar pop to that position.
Any idea what happened? Is there an option to fix this or go back to the previous way it controlled? It's basically impossible to work the menus now.
Edit: Did some Googling and apparently they completely broke the PC controller options back in May and still haven't fixed them? Is this right?
Made Octavia's weapons just cause, I'm kind of regretting it. Neither is impressing me, but Tenora at least seems like you could do a decent crit build off it since it's a reasonable soma-like, but Pandero just feels too unwieldy to bother when I compare it to my Lex and Hystrix, which hurts because the damned thing took 5.5K cryotic and that's a hell of a lot of excavations.
(Also, in Spanish a pandero is a sort of large tambourine, but also can be an euphemism for a woman's large butt, so it's a little hard for me to take it seriously).
I know this is a PA guild and all, but are there any rules about inviting friends in to the guild? I have four friends who all started playing as well and said I'd look in to it. (PC, btw)
Names are:
Contemns
Spaghetti03
Sleepypirate
Damai86
Traditionally not a problem, especially now we have space. It's nice if they drop by here and say hi, but not the end of the world if they don't.
I've sen invites, to all except Spaghetti, who's already in a clan.

That's weird because I know there are people here who swear by them. That could be after some forma and with the right mod setup though. Personally they were just MR fodder for me but I have been through so many weapons it is hard to remember most of the.

There are so many weapons anyways. If something doesn't click for you oh well, almost anything is viable for 99% of content with enough investment.

Yeah, lately I've been playing with Ash Prime (leveling up the one I got from Twitch for a different focus school) and all the Arca weapons, but before that it was Atlas with the Ripkas and Akstiletto Prime. Just use whatever weird shit you want, if something that's hailed by the community doesn't click for you, no big deal.
Yesterday was relatively successful. Growing my space doggo and creating a dojo key. One thing I'm having trouble with is deciding on what weapon I want to choose as my first pet project. I'm only Mastery Rank 4, making my way to 5 though. Any suggestions?
Currently rocking a Boltor and a Orthos and they seem to be working well enough. I don't have a max rank serration because shit is expensive. I guess I need to farm mods for more endo to level it faster?

Or, actually, what determines when you get the daily thing? Is it based on a timer from your last login or is it a set time?
EDIT: Last daily reward login I mean, not login in general.

the login rewards are random except at certain total logins milestones they give you special guns or mods
The day turns over at 5 PM PDT. This resets the login bonus, as well as the various daily standing meters
Daily reward, number of trades allowed, Syndicate bonus affinity gain, etc etc all reset at the same time every day.
