Schoolgirl Khloe Leslie was horrified when her favourite computer game took her to a vulgar new level – and called her a 'f****** cow'.
The 11-year-old was playing Animal Crossing on her Nintendo DS when one of the colourful animal characters swore at her.
Her mother Leeanne, 28, of Inverbervie, Angus, has now banned her from playing the game, which is branded suitable for children aged three and upwards.
A Nintendo UK spokesman insisted none of its children's games contained offensive content. He added: 'It is either a pirate copy or it is user-inputted text.'

I think calling someone a fucking cow is PRET-ty hilarious.

edit: I mean, I'm assuming AC has something going on in the top screen normally.

You can, however that would require her to trade friend codes online. That would make it her fault.
I bet she got knocked up at prom
Yes, what a fucking cow.
Also, what a fucking cow.
I'll bet her big brother or someone at school changed it (or traded with her not knowing that catch phrases, mail, and other things get transferred as well.)
It's a free, at least in Manchester, paper, that no one would read it if they weren't given out everywhere around town (train stations and such)
I was in the process of asking exactly how the text got there when I noticed this part...
Anyway, anybody remember that news bit a couple years ago about the GBA game (Disney game, no less) that had all sorts of profanity in it? Turned out to be the added intro on a pirate cart. He tried to blame Disney, pulled up all those debunked things about penises and sexual dialog hidden in disney movies (Somehow missed the one that actually did have a naked woman in it). When that didn't work out, he tried to blame Nintendo, then the store where he supposedly bought the game, then the Chinese eBay seller he actually bought it from. I'm pretty sure that was also in England, since most of the source links I saw were the Sun or Metro.
At least that guy was just an idiot. This reeks of intentional slander, IMO.
I used to write creepy letters like that (and other creepy subjects) hoping that it would weird some one out when I traded with them.
I remember that too, that worked out as good promotion for Nintendo in a "only buy genuine products, and avoid pirates" way. I agree, this one sounds much more deceitful.
My copy and my friends will not allow the word fuck to be put in. It just blanks it out.
It would look like "A cow."
edit: There should be a large gap in between A and cow. It won't keep it there for some reason.

Separated at birth?
Is that Sgt. Cortez MC or some other dumbass kid in the news that I missed?

"Chiavare, I choose you!"
Got a ship cannon from Pascal. Sweet.
Fucking cow...
On a more serious note she managed to get the words on there even with the super protection power of friend codes.
I think that's the kid that had an adult dvd in his copy of Madden. I can't remember the exact details, but the reaction by the media was hilarious nonetheless.

And there you have it.
If I remember right, both cases were buying used games.
I think this is why places like EBStop don't usually keep the disks for used games in the cases (or is this just the locations around here?), and only load them in when you buy a copy. Basically forces them to validate that the disk matches the package twice.
I submitted one as well, pointing out the user entered text bit.
There were a LOT of submitted comments, I bet. The article seems to be making its rounds. I'm willing to bet they're not going to let any of them through the moderation process.
