Sorry I couldn't do the commentary last night, man. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights I'm busy with the raid. We got Mythic Zek'voz down last night, though, so we're two Mythic bosses ahead of the next closest progression guild in our realm now. No other raid has been able to break through Mother yet.
Barring a major balance patch he's going to be first banned by the second pick team otherwise so yes?

supposing that he will simply just get banned out every game all the time anyway, we.... should just blanket ban him??
i know we have three bans now, yes. but it would make for a much more enjoyable experience overall for everyone if we actually got to use all three bans smartly, instead of one team only having two and the other getting three. it does actually put one team at a disadvantage in that respect if malg is getting banned out every game because it forces one team to burn one of their bans.
anyway, my reasoning wholly comes down to the fact that he is OP as fuck and just absurdly unbalanced right now and it just wouldn't be fun to either have him slip through or force a team to only have two bans
so in the spirit of Having Fun, i say blanket ban his ass

yeah this is a fair point as well. i was guesstimating that it would be on the side of sooner rather than later, but if it is later, we should definitely evaluate how things stand then

i was gonna type up a post about the third clip about how she did have a pocket ana and no one went to go pressure/kill the ana and how no one was juking her Q and crowding up on her in melee allowing her to land chomp/q consistently,
but then i saw the first two clips and yeah that's fucking gross
you could MAYBE (maybe) argue that the team misplayed in the third clip especially given how low they were on mana/health, but there's no excuse for those first two clips. jesus christ i blinked and thrall/anub fucking ate shit, holy fuck
i feel like orphea is weaker vs ranged heroes that can stay out of her q range and poke her down though. hmmm. notably a tracer will destroy her fucking shit.
edit: OH JESUS in the Anub clip Orphea's Chomp hits for 2397 x2. Rich had been stacking the W talent all game and had 307 stacks............ (also, uh, 30% spell power from the level 20 talent.....)
dubs edit: and in the thrall clip Chomp hits for 1232 with 164 stacks at level 14. christ they didn't think that stacking talent through at all.

She will be busted for awhile I'm sure, only problem will be everyone jumping on to play her and keeping her win rate modest for a little while.
The thrall bush check confuses me since he can land his root for free but instead just lets her walk up and starts autoing. Her cc ult comes out a lot faster then I was expecting seems really strong

that's fucking insane not even fucking azmo gets 3 per fucking minion. azmo gets 2 per hero hit 2 per minion kill, caps at 400, and the base damage is pretty low to begin with (184, vs Orphea's 285)
orphea just stacks fucking forever and has a 2nd chomp cast at 16 and has a ridiculous stacking spell power buff at 20
Ravenous Hunger [W] - Quest: Minions that die within 1.5 seconds of being hit by Chomp permanently increase its damage by 3 and heal Orphea for 60. Heroes that die increase its damage by 60 and heal Orphea for 25% of her maximum Health.
It's almost like someone forgot to add the Reward part.

I think the 2nd chomp talent is going to have to get removed, ess of johan style. it makes an extremely risky melee skill into a ranged skill and also doesn't eat your main chomp cd. that's what happens in many of these clips, 2 massive chomps back to back instantly. also 2nd chomp should be untalented at minimum.
like, if jaina could double cone of cold she'd be a whole fuckin' lot scarier too.

There's always a tension between allowing "stacking synergy" and making everything "baseline boring". People like the feeling of unlocking extra power by being intentional with their talent choices. And in some cases, the synergy is unavoidable (such as in reducing an ability cooldown across the board). But there's the potential issue of making people feel like talent choices are mandatory because they have to be balanced against that stacking, so choices that aren't min-max optimized end up being less powerful by default.
