Math trade question

in PAX Unplugged
I have tickets for Saturday but wanted to participate in the math trade on Friday. Can I go to the math trade in the que room on Friday with my Sat ticket?

    No, they check badges at the top of the escalator at the front of the room. You need a badge to attend the normal trade period. Contact your trade partners and try to arrange an exchange on Sunday.

    That doesn't seem right. You need to be able to go through the queue hall and down the hall to get to registration to pick up badges. They have to let you go through in case you need will call.

    Hmmm, I guess you're right. I must be remembering incorrectly. Technically you are still supposed to have a badge for the math trade, but I guess it doesn't actually matter.
