Raistlin is an iconic character in the Dungeons and Dragons campaign setting of Dragonlance. There are several novels written about him. The joke is that Gabe is clearly cribbing from Dragonlance. Krynn is the name of the world/planet of the Dragonlance setting as well. Not sure if Doctor Krynn is a play on "Doctor Quinn: Medicine Woman", which was a 90s TV show about a female frontier doctor in the 1800s
