    Apropos of nothing, Caitlin Clark’s WNBA career “tips off” in like 5 weeks

    ……and just in case you don’t follow women’s basketball that closely (yet), she’s likely to be a fuckin scrub compared to the Aces’/Liberty’s rosters

    I kiiiiiinda wonder if being paired with teammates who see the game as quickly as she does actually elevates her offensively. Defensively she's gonna get torched but will have Boston behind her to protect the rim.

    My #1 pet peeve is coaches getting on the court during play. Hurley should have been T'd up for it, not that it matters for the score.

    Anyone else driven nuts by the microphones during this game? Every dribble drive and every time a player hit the floor it was like a closet door getting slammed and all the shelves inside collapsing.

    Iowa's retiring Clark's number three days after she played her last game. I guess formally next fall, but still.

    On a related note, next season the Indiana Fever, the WNBA team likely to draft Clark at #1 will play 36 nationally televised games. The regular season is 42 games.

    We're back. Michigan played the champs super tough on the women's side, lost 68-62. Freshman Syla Swords (was on the Canadian team in Paris three months ago) went for 27-12 in her debut. Against South freaking Carolina.

    Oof when I saw her go down without much contact I was afraid it was going to be something like that. looked like her leg got a bit tied up with another player then something snapped.
