In all seriousness, the Crafted World demo did not impress me. Besides the simplicity, the music was quite grating.

Reading some of the reviews out there, it sounds like the challenge ramps up in later levels. But the music remains annoying throughout. Nintendo went for a "simplistic" music style to match the crafted look of the game, which certainly makes sense, but unfortunately, Recorders are murder on the ears.

There are audio settings in the game....

Mayhaps Crafted World is actually a coma dream while Yoshi is recovering from being used as a double jump for Mario?

I can't be the only one who has played Smash against a Yoshi who threw eggs at me and yelled "Have my babies!"

Look, it's simple. Yoshi is an egg-laying dino transman (the opposite of Birdo, an egg-spitting dino transwoman), and those unfertilized eggs might as well be used for something, right?

If you're curious about my icon; it's an update of the early Lego Castle theme's "Black Falcons" faction.

No Yoshi game will ever replace the special corner of my heart reserved for Yoshi's Story on the N64.

Are you implying that Birdo and Yoshi are the same species and that depending on gender you get a mouth+tongue and butthole, or a giant gaping facehole?

No, they're not the same species, but they are very similar concepts, like two sides of a coin.
Think of Goombas (Super Mario Bros) and Galoombas (Super Mario World):

Now compare Birdo (Super Mario Bros 2) and Yoshi (Super Mario World):

Also: aren't Yoshi an asexual species? I don't think gender is really a thing for Yoshis.

Fun fact: most egg-laying species in real life do have just one hole, the cloaca, that everything comes out of.

I think they're unfertilized eggs like you can buy in the supermarket

But things hatch from them! Specifically, things that Yoshi ate. So the only way that makes sense is that Yoshi can gather sperm or just straight DNA from people by eating them, and then xe immediately births a child identical to the consumed parent.

    Definitely shelled mollusc.

Huh, I had never considered that the Super Mario World enemies weren't just standard Goombas. Sure, I remember that they flipped over rather than being flattened when you stomped them, but for whatever reason I still just assumed they were the Goombas I had seen in previous games.

not only that, but the Koopas in Super Mario Land 1 are their own different kind of Koopas, which is why their shells turn into bombs.

It's worth noting that SMB takes place in the Mushroom Kingdom while SMW takes place on Dinosaur Island, which might explain why there are Galoombas and not Goombas, since Goombas are essentially Mushroom people who betrayed the kingdom and turned to the dark side.

And Yoshi comes from Dinosaur Island... But does Birdo? And Plessie? And what about the realistic T-Rex from Fossil Falls?

The whole Mario universe is fucked up.

If Birdo is originally from Subcon, perhaps it's just the dream/nightmare version of Yoshi. Someone saw a Yoshi, had a dream about it where they half remembered it and it became Birdo. Then it escaped from the dream world to play tennis and golf with people.
