That being said, I'm being forced to tank when I'd rather not, so I guess it still FEELS like I'm playing HotS lol.

First game using @SeGaTai build. So uh, yeah...how did I lead the game in hero damage? And dying 5 times hurt, but I know for a fact I escaped at least 3 times with sub-100 health. Several of those deaths I committed to the fight hard, only to have the team walk away. So I guess it could have been a lot better or a lot worse.

But I will say that soloing the KTZ and Thrall post-20 felt unreal. Imagine how things will be once I'm not just mashing buttons and actually using strats!

Imperius does a shitton of damage, it is not uncommon for him to top damage charts.

Looking pretty good, and all that damage and daring anyone to solo you is the fun of it.

Ktz can be a big pain in the butt since every q you leave yourself open to him rooting/chaining you, 5 deaths with those comps seems pretty reasonable

1 is Burn the Impure. It's just plain ridiculous. Tons of damage.
4 I take Sovereign Armor, the 25 Armor is really, really nice. Helps mitigate a lot of incoming damage in a way that Battle Hunger doesn't.
7 is Flash of Anger. It's just the best bang for your buck, really. Damage+Shielding is kind of insanely good.
10 I lean towards Wrath unless I REALLY need Armaments. Kidnap is just so fucking strong, instantly turn a fight into a 5v4. Never raw R unless you're a god, always lead it with a Q or a W first. You've got 10 levels to figure out if you really need the Shield or not though.
13 I grab Divine Rage, the CDR helps a lot, E is a 12 sec cd so any bit you can shave off is good.
16, honestly, is open. All three are fucking fantastic. As a go-to I usually take Melting Touch because the Armor reduction will light squishies UP. Valorous Pursuit is also honestly kind of insane, being able to have a Vorpal Blade is fuckin' nuts. I've been taking that one lately a lot.
20 is whatever! They're all good. Whatever you want or need. Brand of Solarion is your go-to if you're unsure otherwise, but just keep in mind it does affect Valorous Pursuit duration a slight bit.

Basically just dive the fuck out of people, use Kidnap on squishies, light asses up.


Other tips:
- You can use E during the Q stun but don't. It's a waste, the damage doesn't come from E it comes from consuming the Marks, and if you're applying E during the Q stun you're losing out on that.
- Q -> W is generally what you wanna do. W after makes it so they can't just walk away. You can try W -> Q if you want, but, I find it's not as effective.
- Q can go over terrain, don't forget this. The range is pretty short though.
- Wrath CANNOT go over terrain, both the initial forward dash and when you're in the air.
- Wrath is fuckin' tricky to use but it's got such tremendous payoff. Just keep practicing.

I dunno, there isn't really a bad way to build Impy I think. Maybe if you don't take Burn the Impure at 1 I guess. edit: this isn't even true haha, all the level 1s are fine honestly

I do love a hero that has multiple legitimate builds. Imperious definitely does, just a fun well rounded kit.

I was looking at the reveal video of the caldecium event... the one with cyber butcher and hacker chromie...

Man those were next level skins. I wish they expanded on some of theset hemes rather than just doing it for 3-4 characters.

Saw my first Hammer skin in the wild yesterday. It was the Taxi variant, and it is fucking glorious. Kudos on the dev team for making such a top-notch skin.

The AI is def a lot more aggressive now with taking merc camps.

But they will retreat through your forts and towers, trying to escape as they get quickly destroyed.

it's really funny to watch VS AI matches where you also have AI, because they're all programmed to go for camps at the exact same time, but start freaking out because you're not there with them, and just abandoning camps halfway through

So I'm already to the "Play 5 games with Friends" event quest, so when anyone needs to grind that out hit me up. Some bot games or quickmatch should take care of that in about an hour.

There's something really cool about these screenshots. MVP against AI with Hammer...so what, right? Well what makes this special is that was my 3.5-year old daughter "controlling" Hammer the whole game. Basically, she just constantly right-clicked everywhere, while I constantly recentered the screen and activated Siege Mode and the basic abilities (not that anything landed since the cursor was all over the place). The best part was that when I mentioned my daughter was playing (as a courtesy to my team), they all huddled up and protected her while she shelled everything away. That was unexpected and really cool of them.

We settled on Hammer since she drives a car and isn't a scary monster.

So the Scarlet Heist chests just reuse the old Halloween chest art, despite it having nothing to do with the theme, and the Legendary Scarlet Heist chest just looks like the default chest. Also, there appear to be no Qhira sprays at all.

The deadgame feel is real.

The game feels dead because it seems like they don't have the resources to put the trademark Blizzard polish into it anymore, and what's left of the team is scrambling to get the event art assets out in time.

I think it's hyperbolic to call the game "dead" when they literally released new content but the one thing you want to focus on is the box that the new content comes in.

My only little deadgame evidence is back when I'd pop on to do my quests, there'd be about 10 people on at any given time from my list. Now it's about 3 maximum at random times of day. I got one game in with Dover, a few hours back, and now SeGa is on. There's just not as big of a draw anymore. I might get the other 4 games in before the end of the event if I leave the launcher open and check it every so often.

EDIT The last line is a bit of sarcasm, it's just not as easy to get a group together these days.
