my youngest son told me at age 6 that he wanted to be an astronaut, so I told him that if he got good grades and went to college and excelled he could be one
his response was "I'll just work at a gas station and live with you"

My mood is anxious.
We have problems with the house. A leaking toilet the plumbers couldn't fix is ruining the floors. And they couldn't fix it because of the floors, which I need $6000 to fix.
And I'm having surgery tomorrow. Its a septoplasty and turbinate reduction, which, in the grand scheme of things is probably not that bad, but I'm feeling very anxious about it.
And the pre-op blood tests they did pretty much confirmed I'm diabetic now. My A1C was 8.7. Anything over 6 is bad. It's been slowly going up, but that was a big jump from the last blood test.
So now I have to change my diet. And actually start to exercise.

Is "coming off sedation" a mood? I had hernia surgery today and I can still feel the sedation in my body. It's like jello.
Anyway this has given me an easy out of responsibilities. Nothing is expected of me.

I feel like it is. I came off sedation Wednesday. So far, after my surgery, I just feel really congested, but can't blow my nose. My face is sensitive, but no vlack eyes. I don't think I've ever had a black eye.
Two days later, I think I'm in more pain than I was, but... even then, it's more irritation than outright pain.

I just bopped myself lightly on the nose trying to use eye drops. And today I've started yawning and every time I feel one of my splints shift slightly and its... scary.
I’m trying to imagine the local equivalent of that but no one has handguns here. Couple of farmers have shotguns. I guess a pal of mine carries a penknife.
This must be one of those responsible gun owners I've been hearing so much about.
They seem a lot like the responsible gun owners who took pictures of pointing their own guns at their groins. Not all of them had steady trigger fingers though.
