My D&D adventures!
Because I ran my FLGS' AL games for Way Too Damn Long and can't turn that part of my brain off, a quick primer on how Adventurers League works might not be a bad idea:
D&D Adventurers League is official play! This is different from homebrew in a couple ways, the big ones you have to worry about:
Character generation is standardized per the AL Player's Guide! You can download it for free via the DM's Guild.
The cliffnotes version is that when building a character, you can't roll for stats or HP, and you get your pick of anything out of the Player's Handbook, and one additional sourcebook; a special race out of Volo's Guide to Monster's or Mordenkainen's Tome of foes, or a special class out of the Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide or Xanathar's Guide to Everything. Player backgrounds aren't limited by which sourcebooks you pick.
Character advancement and rewards work differently from usual, which your friendly neighborhood DM will (hopefully) explain at the table. Also; for the love of God, if you're bringing a brand new character or an existing character, bring a logsheet! There are blank ones in the Player Pack I linked above! Your DMs and Event Organizers will love you forever.
