My 6-year-old would like to watch a documentary about space. She's not very engaged by talking heads or the "boring stuff" so something that includes the moon landing and spacewalks and rocket launches would be best.
I thought the original cosmos with Carl Sagan hosting was amazing when I was little. Also you should be able to dig around on Nova Science Now and find lots of full series programming about space. Some of it is pretty adult, but most of it has lots of cool stuff to watch that illustrates principles even if they're kinda advanced.

My 6-year-old loves SciShow Kids! There is stuff about space on the channel, but also a ton of other topics, many of which look to answer the kind of questions kids have. Stuff like What happens when I lose a ballon? and What happens if you swallow gum? When we first sat down to it I was like "a rat sidekick? come on" but he genuinely seems to love it and always wants to see more. I guess 6-year-olds aren't grown-ups, who would have guessed.
You might want to check out the 2019 documentary Apollo 11.
I'd recommend you check it out yourself first to judge if it would engage your kid, because it doesn't have any informational narration or anything, but it's all primary footage from the Apollo 11 mission with some really cool music, so it might be interesting?
It's certainly one of my favorite documentaries of the last... good while, so if nothing else, they can check it out when they're a bit older.

A little light in actual information, but might be a fun break in-between, I'll always plug for Symphony of Science videos by melodysheep. He's broken them out into 'shorts' as well;

I'm looking for something with real footage and a lot of visual interest.
