The buzz seems fine, it's an either love it or hate it game. I do think I'm moving away from Kojima's style though, the last game of his I genuinely enjoyed was 3. 4 had good parts, 5 was fantastic in terms of gameplay but the story wasn't all there, and now this.
That said, he is at least doing original things and not happy to churn out the same thing over and over.

I'm just glad this thing is finally coming out so everyone can get all that Kojima blue-balls out of their system and I don't have to hear about his nonsense for a few years until he makes another game.
Would disregarding the insistence of the embargo be some sort of mortal faux pas
insofar as breaking an embargo means a publisher won't give you any more review copies in the future

Yes, but then mostly the games journalists would just write about that instead. Because "Developer tried to pull some shady shit and we told them to cram it" is probably better for clicks than early access to that developer's games in the future.
I think embargos have a signed agreement in place as well, seems like they're getting a lot more hyper specific these days to try to avoid the 'full plot outline posted on 4chan weeks before the game comes out' scenario
Hmmm...avoiding Death Stranding spoilers probably means that I won't watch this years GB Extra Life, because dickheads have been spoiling things with their donation texts before. Bleh.

crash vs. spyro comes down to whether you prefer your platformers to be linear or collection-based
