Ehhh, she's old enough and smart enough that she should know to stay away from that half of the family. Donald won't even acknowledge her Mum exists, nevermind speak to her, and besides the biggest most public events Tiffany gets left out of all the family stuff too, she's definitely the black sheep.

Parscale is getting memory-holed by the Trump campaign. Not just coffee-boyed, but they're actively purging all signs that he was ever around - all mentions of him, all videos that had him in it, everything. Did his arrest/involuntary commitment make him too much of an embarrassment for them? Did it remind Trump and cronies that, oh yeah, that asshole stole millions of dollars and lowly minions are not allowed to steal their stolen wealth and that's what he gets? Something else petty and stupid?

Whatever it is...eh, Parscale was a garbage excuse for a human being so I feel no sympathy for him. It's just funny to me that there's no honor among thieves. All the underlings are disposable and none of them are self-aware enough to realize it.

Parscale getting dumped is hilarious to me since his social media Blitz (which trump didn't grasp the importance of because he's a doddering old man) is a large part of the reason trump is currently in office and the reason for him being dumped isn't because he had issues or because of ethical complaints but because after 4 years of being a shitlord and learning that the american people had had enough the polling was bad and there wasn't anything the dude could spin it around particularly when trump refused to change anything about how he behaves.

There was also that whole "funneling millions of dollars from the campaign into his own pockets" that probably had something to do with it.

They probably didn't care about that till later. We know Trump and many others are stealing from the campaign and stole from the inauguration fund. Parscale got fired for one reason: empty seats in the Tulsa rally.

Undated letters are apparently a common thing for end of first term since often presidents make cabinet changes. So possibly normal. He's also supposedly working with Congress to get the Confederate named bases changed and that pisses off Trump.

Self-righteousness is incompatible with coalition building.

Wray (FBI) and Haspell (CIA) were specifically rumored to be expecting termination, basically regardless of the election result. Though maybe Trump will wait for the media to call the election first.

Really not sure how Trump will act overall if there is no third term to build towards, but he'll probably still want to punish these people purely out of spite.

I initially misread this as if they were expecting termination from Biden and had a record-scratch moment (Wray seems .....decent? and Haspel is a fucking ghoul and should go but Biden wouldn’t force her out)

    Then it clicked

Trump signed an executive order 2 weeks ago to reclassify a vast swath of civil servants like Fauci into positions he can fire. The only upside is it doesn't take effect until after the inauguration. Which funnily enough if Biden does win, he could use to fire a bunch of Trumpers from the government.

I suspect that was what some shithead in Trump's court was counting on. They have a 6-3 shithead majority on SCOTUS and the plan was probably to try using this to give the court a shot at gutting laws that protect government employees. So I'd be a bit worried that they try firing that shot early, while Trump is in office. Hoping they get things to play out enough that the move still goes through.

Trump just demoted the Chairman of FERC he appointed because the Chairman was moving too far to the left by...hosting a workshop on carbon pricing.

    https://www.utilitydive.com/news/trump-ousts-chatterjee-taps-danly-to-lead-ferc/588526/

Chatterjee was one of McConnell’s former staff people. The new Chairman is a full on Trump guy and, coincidentally, totally under qualified to be in any leadership position, let alone Chairman. FERC doesn’t move fast enough for him to do much damage in three months, so this is mostly just petty.

I'm not clear on how US courts work, but you can't just throw something straight to the SC, can you? So if it goes to a local court and they just say "What? No, this is hells illegal, knock that shit off", that's it?

I assume there's a system that controls this as not every court case just gets appealed all the way up to the same 9 people if someone doesn't like the result, but I don't know what it is.

Nobody remembers the singer. The song remains.

For these disputes it goes state supreme->federal district -scotus; but SCOTUS typically only rules in terms of concepts rather than specifics. If state courts say to pound sand, and federal district don’t see an issue with merits, SCOTUS usually declines. As the only merits to Trump’s while thing are “i should win” if SCOTUS rules for him it literally means the end of the US and the end of SCOTUS

I said, they might fire early enough in hopes of things playing out enough that it goes through. I never said it was a realistic play, this is the Trump admin. Also worth keeping in mind, if they do, I'm pretty sure this starts in the lowest federal court that has jurisdiction over DC.

All that said, I'm pretty sure that EO's whole point of existence was to try and set things p so they could gut federal government worker protections against unreasonable firings. I'm willing to be that the people involved probably wanted to have it happen sooner, but got talked out of it because it would look really fucking bad to attempt to fire a ton of federal workers in the lame duck during an ongoing pandemic that tanked the economy; especially, if they end up losing the election.

Which is bunk because she used her personal account for the "landslide in progress" tweet that aged like durian in the sun.

Edit: nope, I was wrong, as she's banned on her personal account. That was pressec. It's also deleted. Everything election related is gone, there's a bunch of stuff on 10-30, a military related retweet on 10-31, then a five day gap followed by her two "fake news" assertions about the missing tweets.
