I’m excited for her and I’m pretty much meh on everything about summoners rift right now. But I think I’m going to log in and throw that birthday money at her launch set.
42% winrate so far, and both of the ones i've played with so far have not been able to do a single thing. I don't know what she's supposed to do better than leona. obviously it's the first day, but man that kit just feels so unimpactful.
i have actually won 1v1s against rell easy, where leona or pretty much any engage support blows you to smithereens even as a very fed adc if they hit a single skillshot.

Yeah, the little I played around with Rell in training made it feel like her numbers were really under tuned. I’m assuming they were trying to play it safe so she doesn’t just head up to top lane and kick some teeth in, but worth how much her kit needs another person around... it’d probably be fine if she got buffed a bunch.

This will be my first event since I returned to playng this game, so im not sure how this works - do event points allow me to buy new skins, or are Prestige skins just more fancy Chromas, and I still need to have base version of the skin to use it?
I think she's Rell-y cool, and the one game I played against her she cleaned house, but to be fair I had a top Vi, jungle Riven, and support Ornn, and it was a total poopshow from the get-go.

...if you spend the 2k on the Prestige skin, you get a version of that skin that yes, is basically a fancy chroma but also its own skin, if that makes sense. The Prestige skins are gold versions of Epic skins, but you don't need the base version to use it. For example, I have Prestige Obsidian Dragon Sett, so I can use that on its own without having Obsidian Dragon.
Then they also have 300-token chromas for most of the event-related skins in the shop, and for those you will need the skin.

She is unstoppable while ulting, but that doesn't mean it can't be stopped. If you ult an Elise who still has rappel, it gets interrupted. Same with Camilla using her ult, etc.
Not the same situation, but its like anyone with a projectile ult getting it deleted by Yas (and now Samira).
Got my first S with Xayah finally, and I didn't think the game was going that great personally, but I ended 15/8/11 with 268 CS, 18K gold, and 45K damage, so I guess I made The Numbers Gods happy?
xayah is in a pretty bad place so probably not a ton of great performances by other people which is how it determines S rank (which is why playing off role is a great way to rack up some cheesy S ranks), but also, CS is a gigantic factor for ADC S ranks, and 268 is quite good if the game was anything less than 40 minutes.
i want to get off mr. rito's wild ride. in the last few days i have had an 11 game loss streak, then a 4 game win streak, 2 game loss streak, 6 game win streak, 5 game loss streak. these swings are too hard, have mercy matchmaking.

I forgot to answer this: but typically, yes, because it had huge mana restore when you hit a big monster and a comparable stat line to Luden's. The AP junglers were somewhat balanced around that mana charging, and it freed up blue buff for your mid. It (and Warrior to a somewhat lesser extent) helped by being an efficient early purchase, so you power-spiked early well. That's less true now.
In contrast, Cinderhulk and Devourer were really scaling options, so junglers running those (well...not that anyone ran Devourer) weren't weakened by the loss of that early item.

Riot's certainly got the resources and money to throw at this. Not something i'm going to play myself, mind (Not unelss it's siome sort of incredible second coming of games and eh, even thennnn), but it's ceartinly an interesting play
If they're talking about "kicking it off" it's not coming out for at least 5 years and may be completely different by the time they're done (see: blizzard's Titan MMO eventually arriving at Overwatch)
destiny actually emphatically called themselves not an MMO for years, because "well it's not MASSIVELY multiplayer", but then after they bought themselves out from activision they went "I mean, let's be real, it's basically an MMO"

Sometimes it's nice to play Tahm Kench and save my ADC from the five million times they eat a blitz/swain grab.

Kind of--the orbs / bags give you roulette skin shards, but not directly except

it's not fantastic, missing that R on anivia is oof, but i had just lost about a trillion games in a row so we take those.
