It's kind of impressive how much goodwill they are losing from the first patch on their game.
I can say when I played on my lunch break it didn't crash, so that was at least something.
But I always bristle when looter games go "whoa hey loot is being given a little too freely." Like I didn't know the situation with the ten legenadries yes that is an exploit, but why remove the one as a reward? Like what's the reward now for doing all 10 beyond doing all ten more than once. They said they wanted it rewarding and now I imagine it'll be one more epic which seems a little silly considering any of the hunt targets is at least good for two epics a kill, unless they nerf that for being too generous.

Yep.
And doubling down on DPS races as the entire end-game while nerfing the strongest DPS instead of buffing the weaker DPS while also... making the DPS race have tighter timings? While combined with the removal of the legendaries from above.
That's not helping anyone!
They even talked about ahead of time how careful they would be with the nerf bat and focusing more on making everything strong and fun to play and then 1 patch in..
I just feel more games need to look at something like Diablo 3, which offers two kinds of end game "rifting" that let you gear up, and how generous those rifts are versus being stingy. I mean its a loot game, with randomness even on legendries (like the various cooldown reduction, damage types etc), why be so stingy?
I mean they are rewarding us for playing through their issues with 1 additional item and an emote, which feels paltry.

Yeah I'm saying you got super lucky or I got absolutely screwed because I did that chain and I got one.
I just finished the chain and got
13 total legendaries
You sure you finished it?
Stopped the nukes?
I did! I literally did that and I swear to god I got 1. Man I got totally fucked in that.
Talking to Shad and Baske on discord they also only got blues and purples at the end of that quest, so it wasn't just you. Its either bugged or FuriousJodo and I got really, really, really lucky

Pretty much this. Idk why looter shooters struggle with this when D3's very successful rift formula is right there to steal.
Also lol at the only change to Volcanic Rounds being a slight dps drop off a skill node being nerfed. Pyromancer go brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
So, my original assumption the "Roll to reload" mod would waste my Twisted Rounds mags was true, lol. The replenish under 35% mod and 30% chance not using ammo I'm not 100% sure on though...
but~ I think there's something funky going on if you use the Twisted Rounds weapon leech mod with a weapon that has weapon leech because it feels like the mechanic just stops working until i juggle weapons around or something. anyone else experience this?

I am absolutely baffled that no other game has stolen the rift formula. I guess PoE comes close at the end game with maps but just for leveling characters and futzing around, the rift system cannot be beat.

I mean they effectively have the rift system with expeditions just have the option to not have timers and reward loot as go you instead of just at the end.

I mean they're basically already greater rifts, both with a time limit and loot dropping at the end instead of during. What it's missing from that is the endless scaling, generated areas, and systems that support trying to push further and further up. Oh and leaderboards for people to brag about things.
It would certainly be nice to have an equivalent to normal rifts too though, for leveling outside of the story especially for alts.

Yeah that's what I'm saying if they had loot drop during and took the timer off that would be the regular rift part for expeditions. You could even just have it be random so people wouldn't know what they are getting into in advance.
I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.
They could keep expeditions as they are and just take all the maps and weld them together into a never ending expedition. Hell, call it a safari, idgaf. Just have loot drop during them and have them get more difficult the further down you go with the option to start at the level you get to. My problem with expeditions is due to the way they work, they're not terribly good for farming gear leaving the actual world for that and that kinda sucks. Having a dedicated loot farm mode would be awesome and they don't even need to make new maps for it.

I just did this quest at WT15 and just got a bunch of legendary weapons dumped on me (and a ton of purples). It is definitely bugged unless they mean for you to get some of the easier to get weapons.
there's another shawl/head covering kinda headgear another NPC has that I'd turn helmets on just to wear.
Sudden legendary wealth gave a DPS weapon to beat "anti-status build" monster too. So there's that. Not really sure I want to use these though. I even got a legendary version of my ice gun, but it's a sniper... Is this a game where you have to use legendaries or at a high enough +level/WT will a normal looking weapon that I mod with the same things deal similar damage?

Since legendaries are the only items that come with tier 3 mods they're the only ones that you can run with 2 tier 3 mods. I'm not 100% sure on the disparity between stats, but yeah, I think at some point you'll want to be decked out in legendaries to really push into higher challenge tiers. That's not to say that epics can't do really good damage, but many of the tier 3 mods are just straight up better versions of the earlier mods and you'll probably want that.
Oh man, today was a fuck up adventure. I accidentally dismantled my LMG leaving me without a useable primary weapon so I had to go farm low tier expeditions with an assault rifle I still had to get something I could upgrade. Thankfully someone joined my game so I was able to push into higher tier content and score a new 13k firepower LMG.
That said, my interim LMG rolled with Perpetuum Mobile so I got to play around with Storm Whip and I REALLY like that mod. I need to keep an eye out for a new LMG I can shove that on to.
reached the point where I've given up on being a CC-primary trickster, unless there are tier 3 mods that will make using them more worthwhile. but right now, it's just... bleh.
Still doing Harbinger (I like shield on ability+reload shield mod), but it's just... trying really hard not to completely devolve into all weapon leech+storm whip+bone shrapnel or something.

So many captain fights just feel like bullshit, and they're massive, massive difficulty increases compared to the normal gameplay
Like captains can force you to clear out of your cover with shit like seeking flame, and then the zone itself is just flooded with dudes so basically as soon as you're forced out you're on a very short timer for how long you can live.
Yes you can then go in and like change your build and this and that to try to go around it, or change the difficulty, but none of that feels the least bit satisfying to do, it just feels like arbitrarily hard design where if your build doesn't match the type of encounter it is, you don't get to proceed.
It's really frustrating to just be merrily popping heads all the way through an area, hit a captain fight, and die even though you're literally one-shotting adds as soon as they appear. Doesn't matter, cuz you'll get chased into a new spot, moving into that new spot spawns new armored dudes, and then you're simply overwhelmed with auto-hit spam damage.
A trap is for fish: when you've got the fish, you can forget the trap. A snare is for rabbits: when you've got the rabbit, you can forget the snare. Words are for meaning: when you've got the meaning, you can forget the words.
Those nerf are probably enough to make the only build I have available to me completely unviable. It's incredibly knife edge as it is. I may not even be able to drop a bunch of tiers and run those because if you drop far enough it scales your gear down (I did a CT1 expo for shits and gigs and it made my guns do only 2-3k damage). So what the fuck do I do?
I just shut it off in irritation but the number of almost undodgable attacks is gonna kill my enjoyment way faster then any loot issues. Dog leaps, alpha variant leaps, brood mother leaps and projectiles, Stryx projectiles unless you've got massive range, Crawler beams, every gun in existence, etc. Maybe it's the lack of i-frames on the roll but it really sucks feeling like nothing I do reduces the amount of damage I take.
Edit: phasing roll, with it's extra range, can help with some of these but being told to take a talent or eat the attack also sucks
Carpy on

Having trouble with a gear interaction maybe one of you can help with.
These gloves
Are giving me a ton of health, almost equivalent to the amount of AP they are giving me...but I can't figure out why. I thought maybe I had something giving me AP -> Health, but other AP items aren't raising my health. Maybe it's a bug with the item? I am very confused.
e: wtf...now I just have that health, like this item had nothing to do with it...I feel like the UI is buggy and behind sometimes.

I think it starts at 30+, but your average equipped item level also contributes to your health and anomaly power stats? Could it be that?
edit: "Healing Received" is also a factor in it somehow too. I lose HP if I take off an equal level weapon but that has/doesn't have that stat. Don't know if it's intentional or not. they weren't the same level I am sleepy and illiterate. swapping them did change my HP though as my avg level went up.
edit2:
A level 30 helm with +125 HP puts me at 2455
A level 31 helm with +119 HP puts me at 2246
you'd expect a difference of 6, but it is instead 9.
Bumped the helm to 31, it got a +133 HP bonus and my max HP is now 2466, up 10 instead of 8.
If I equip my level 1 sidearm, my HP drops to 2141 since I lose all the bonus HP.

Is that documented somewhere, that your health is buffed with average item level? I don't see any sort of mod or class text around that, so if that's true, I guess it's intrinsic?

If you press RT or whatever its equivalent is on PC, you can bring up your stats in the equipment screen. Mousing over the "Average Item Level" section shows the bonuses.
