We all use math every day; to predict weather, to tell time, to handle money.
Math is more than formulas or equations; it's logic, it's rationality,
it's using your mind to solve the biggest mysteries we know.

I'm obsessed with awful police procedurals where someone with a weird profession helps police solve incredibly specific crimes so this chat is all about Numb3rs, a show about a mathematician and his FBI special agent brother who, you guessed it, solve crimes using maths!

he spends a lot of time writing on whiteboards and learning that even though he's a mathematical genius, empathy is also important!

i can imagine that being right up people's alley

Psych is excellent but sort of age-range specific in terms of the references.

Monk's pretty much just "Watch Tony Shalhoub make faces for 45 minutes," in bad episodes and fun in good ones.

So I've drafted Koma twice and I'm in lurv. I've also opened a Kaya, so I've decided they're going to fight crime together.

    So I watched this:

And was like hey I have some of those cards already, maybe if I use Koma instead of Ugin I can craft this without too much trouble.

Narrator: but he could not craft it without too much trouble.

So anyway I threw together this pile of nonsense and have decided that Kaya + Koma is gonna be my thing. Look at how these tables turn:

Tweaking it over coffee this morning, trying not to spend too many wildcards just yet; here's what I've got so far:

I need more good ETB critters but from a perusal of scryfall all I've got so far is a bunch of decidedly meh options like:

    farfinder
    frost lynx
    blacklance paragon
    barrin
    demon's disciple

    WTB more creature based removal.

Amita Ramanujan: IRC. Internet Relay Chat. It's how hackers talk when they don't want to be overheard.
Charlie Eppes: It's a pretty primitive chat program.
Amita Ramanujan: Think of it like shipping channels in the ocean. You can't see them until a boat cuts through the water leaving a wake. If two boats meet in the middle of the ocean to swap a load of illegal drugs, you have to catch them in real time, otherwise there's no evidence of the meeting left behind.
Charlie Eppes: No names, no accounts, no records of exchange.
Don Eppes: Well, how do they see each other?
    Amita Ramanujan: Online names.
Don Eppes: Okay, so what, we've got "the_fist", and, and … what's Augie's?
Amita Ramanujan: [points at the website] "00zemeister". I'll set up an alarm to alert us if either name enters an IRC channel.
Don Eppes: Can we see what they're saying?
Amita Ramanujan: In leetspeak. Luckily, I speak leet.
    Charlie Eppes: That's so hot!

    yeah that was scorpion!

that was definitely more magical autist but in that case in was actually based on a real person but from the sounds of it the fictional autist is a lot more charming than the real life dude who is basically a professional grifter

the show is very entertaining if you like turning your brain off and hearing shit like "we need to set the ocean on fire to scare away the jellyfish so we can escape!"
