    I was a huge nerd that read the newspaper growing up (gotta get through every section to make the comics worth it!!) but everything around that era is a blur having been like, 11 when it all happened

    Oh that was absolutely part of the whole mess, yeah. Bush invaded Iraq, but Rumsfeld was instrumental in providing justifications for him to do so and excuse the tactics and torture used in the process of doing so.
