Yeah I'm joking because the alternative is despair. Like I feel like "toys, clothing, automotive and industrial parts" probably count as hazardous goods if you're dumping them in the god damn ocean.

It has a GARAGE. And a big ass driveway. And it's waterfront. In a CITY.
The rent on that place has got to be five digits.

Well, that location is on the shore of North Vancouver riiiiight here
between the Second Narrows rail bridge and the Steelworker's Memorial bridge.
It's an industrial area, so there's no residential there, but the closest apartment listed on craigslist is a 2 bedroom about 1km away further up the hill and it's $2400 a month.
The closest waterfront apartment is further over in Lower Londsdale and that's $4,000 a month.
Mind you, Vancouver is the 2nd least affordable housing market in the world after Hong Kong so the numbers are a little skewed.
Anyone else reading "The number of containers with hazardous goods – two - has NOT changed" as implying that there is a potential class of hazardous shipping container that could have duplicated itself on reaching the water?

My fave use so far is as drive by weed stores

Why would you put this idea in my head. I really hope it’s largely an urban myth and that that scenario is extremely unlikely

Probably bilge pumps, big boats like that always get excess water in hull. Wouldn't be surprised if there was a leak in the bow though.
