Great! Now I'm the fucking asshole who's a fucking asshole if I don't walk into the fucking painting.
Of course I'm gonna fucking walk into the fucking painting, because, let's be honest, who the fuck else is enough of a fucking asshole to walk into a fucking painting?
Let's go!

When I questioned why Garguax wasn't with the Doom Patrol in the afterlife since he also got shot with the death ray, my wife (who doesn't read comics but often watches the shows/movies with me) answered without missing a beat:
"This is Earth's afterlife. He went to his planet's afterlife."
Also, I wasn't expecting characters from Neil Gaiman's Sandman to show up since it has it's own show about to come out.

Though Rita leading the Sisterhood of Dada wasn't a big surprise.
I am surprised that apparently all of Crazy Jane's personalities except for Jane are choosing their own well-being over Kay's though. At least all of them so far, we might see some defectors in the remaining episodes.
Still, it made no sense. I guess the flagellation is to purge the world of evil, but why are there these bird things?
It is like they skipped over a chunk of the story.
All the Dada members are from the comics (though it was called the Brotherhood of Dada there and was created by Mr. Nobody), and Sachiko seems to be The Quiz though they haven't directly said it.
The Quiz's powers were that she had every power that you hadn't thought she had. So to make her lose a power you had to think she has it.
As a result, I chalked up most of the Eternal Flagellation to her (along with the Sisterhood characters not aging).
Sometimes it gets irritating when entertainment hits the "reset button". They do something without consequences.
The zombie episode of Doom Patrol is a good example. Somehow, they are magically healed at the end.

This season is great but it’s not gripping me as much as previous seasons.
This season is great but it’s not gripping me as much as previous seasons.
Don't get me wrong, I think this show is fantastic and it's depiction of trauma is moving.
At the same time I feel like we've seen these characters hurt, heal, and then hurt again more viciously and then heal and then set back yet again.
I mean at some point we need to move on or wrap it up because I'm not that interested in watching them go through this constant cycle of pain.
I am in the business of saving lives.

I think my issue is
The season is focusing primarily on Rita Farr. I like her as a character, but as the focal point I’m the least connected with her and her story just doesn’t hit the same notes for me at all.

if I had my druthers, every one of my entrances to basically any occasion would be to the Doom Patrol intro theme

My timing was perfect! I just finished binging the first three seasons just in time to catch the season finale. I still have to unpack everything, but while I think season 3 is great, season 1 is probably my favorite. Partially because of Nobody and partially because the season's longer length gave it more room to breathe. Season 3 was more about the "moments" than the overarching narrative for me.
You know what? Nanowrimo's cancelled on account of the world is stupid.

Cause, personally, I'm in the Rita Farr camp.
That’s a tough call but I think I agree.
Best character on the show period is Danny the Street
That's a weird way to spell Flex Mentallo

Rita is very good, but my favorite is probably Larry, because I also have a contentious relationship with an entity that lives in my heart
also all the radiation.
That whole storyline rules
That last episode went some fucking PLACES
I absolutely loved the complete lack of effort made at making this bit look like anything but styrofoam and fake snow.
And still 3 more to go.

Wouldn't the air just bubble out of Cliff's brain and kill him? He is in space you know.
