Great game, unfortunately marred by a cheap shot on Burks on the onside kick at the end of the game.

Edit: This sounds bitter, I just hate seeing that off the ball hit possibly exacerbating an injury. Sucks.

Back in my hometown and parents very sweetly got the wofford unc game on the radio for me (go heels) and lord, the effort these poor anouncers had to put into making anyone give a shit. "Well if unc can't crush them early they may have a dog fight on their hands..." Oof. Not quite a foregone conclusion,(6-5 vs 1-9 battle at the bottom half the barrel) unc isn't great, but wofford is both small and bad right now,and unc did indeed pick them apart. Didn't have the heart to tell my folks I didnt care either.

    Easy win, easy life.

UCLA scores their most points in the rivalry game ever because Chip Kelly wants that Harbaugh extension.

I have now turned my attention to Rivalry Week, and I have written my annual screed against the hated Southern Floridian school which exists upon our blighted western coast.

    It is 420 words long.

    It is a sign.

    Nick Saban is 70.

Bear Bryant was 69 when he died.

Nick Saban does not look nearly as old as Bear did.

So anyway, Oregon has been basically using Brown as a runner more than a passer of late, which is fine and all until you come up a team that can stuff the run, and then you get...well....this.

Which is why they would never make it even if they had qualified for the playoff, Georgia or Alabama's Dline would have eaten them alive.

Not sure what the deal with the defense is, can't buy a tackle all game. Hopefully they clean it up before the championship game because this is just garbage.

BTW, if Nebraska can manage to lose to Iowa by 6 points or fewer next week, they will finish 1-8 in conference with a positive scoring margin.

Big Ten scenarios are kind of funny.

The East is easy, winner of The Game takes it. In the West...

Wisconsin wins if they beat Minnesota OR they can back in if Nebraska beats Iowa and Indiana beats Purdue.

Iowa wins if they beat Nebraska AND Minnesota beats Wisconsin

Minnesota wins if they beat Wisconsin AND Nebraska beats Iowa AND Purdue beats Indiana to create a four way tie. Minnesota wins because they're 2-1 against the other teams as is Wisconsin but Iowa and Purdue are 1-2. So it would revert to just Minnesota and Wisconsin and Minnesota would have won the head to head. Without Purdue around, Minnesota is fucked though.

Purdue cannot win, but they matter.

Self-righteousness is incompatible with coalition building.

This should be a thing that makes me feel better for the future. That 2001 Colorado team beat the shit out of a number 1 ranked Nebraska team in the final regular season game that year.

Adrian Martinez is a pretty good human being from what I know but I'd be ok with him not taking the option to return next year. Maybe some of these close losses turn into W's with a more boring but better game manager at QB

Our winners this week are @shalmelo and @Blackhawk1313 ! Congratulations!

And don't forget, if you've got a rivalry game coming up this coming weekend, submit any smack talk to Nirya!

    ALSO! THIS IS IMPORTANT!
The deadline for submissions for Week 13 will be around 3:30 PM Eastern on Thanksgiving Day! That said, while I will give partial credit for submissions after the deadline, as soon as the start times are finalized today I will send the picks and lines to Nirya for the writeups.

Assuming no rivalry week fuckups (and I exclude UM/OSU from being a fuckup because both teams control their destiny), I think the most likely playoff teams are something like:

    1. Georgia/Bama winner
    2. UM/OSU winner or Georgia loser in SECCG (that scenario shifts everything down)
    3. Cincy
    4. 2-loss Bama
    5. ND
    6. OkSt (barring a Bedlam loss- also it may be possible for Bedlam 2 the following week?)

That’s basically it- Cincy and OkSt are both eliminated with a loss but the other 4 teams probably or certainly all have a 1 loss cushion because nobody after OkSt is close enough

(This is simplified a bit you get the idea)

SEC: Alabama vs. Georgia regardless of Saturday's results

Big Ten covered in an earlier post, but basically:
    Michigan/Ohio State winner is in
Wisconsin in if they beat Minnesota or Nebraska and Indiana win
Iowa in if they, Minnesota, and Indiana win
Minnesota in if they, Nebraska, and Purdue win

    Big 12
    : Oklahoma State is in
If Oklahoma wins Bedlam or Texas Tech beats Baylor, it's Bedlam 2 for the championship.
If Oklahoma State wins Bedlam and Baylor beats Texas Tech, it's Oklahoma State-Baylor for the championship.

    PAC-12: Utah is in
Oregon wins with a win over Oregon State
Wazzou is in with a win in the Apple Cup and a Beaver win
Oregon State is in with a win over Oregon and a Washington win in the Apple Cup

    ACC: Pitt is in.
Wake wins if they beat BC.
If BC wins and NC State wins, NC State goes.
If BC and UNC win, Clemson goes.

    CUSA:
UTSA vs. the Western Kentucky/Marshall winner

    MAC:
NIU vs. the Kent State/Miami winner

    AAC
    :
    Houston vs. Cincinatti

    Sun Belt:
    App State vs. Louisiana

    MWC:

West goes to SDSU or Fresno. SDSU wins if they win against Boise or a Fresno loss, Fresno goes with a win (San Jose State) and SDSU loss.
Mountain is a three way tie whose teams split 1-1 against each other so things get weird. Utah State controls their own destiny though, apparently.

The big mysteries are what the committee would do with 2 loss Bama and 2 loss Ohio State and where they slot compared to Notre Dame and Oklahoma State in particular.

@ASimPerson there seems to be some math wrong in this week's pickem, unless I'm making a mistake

Ladybug missed 3 and has 8 points
    CSSthegr8 missed 4 and has 7 points
You and I missed 3 and have 7 points

    That's what it currently says.
