You must choose one of two Animated Christmas Movies as your Champion to fight and triumph over all other Animated Christmas Movies. Your choice of Champion is either

A) Arthur Christmas (2011) - Set on Christmas Eve, the film centers on Arthur Claus, the clumsy but well-meaning son of Santa Claus, who discovers that his father's high-tech ship has failed to deliver one girl's present. Accompanied only by his free-spirited and reckless grandfather, an enthusiastic young Christmas elf obsessed with wrapping gifts for children, and a team of reindeer, he embarks on a mission to deliver the girl's present personally

B) Klaus (2019) - Serving as an alternate origin story of Santa Claus independent from the historical take of Saint Nicholas of Myra and using a fictional 19th-century setting, the plot revolves around a postman stationed in an island town to the Far North who befriends a reclusive toymaker (Klaus).

    Arthur Christmas is a movie about dysfunctional family dynamics, it doesn't really need to lean on its art style all that much. Also it's clever and fun, has ridiculous tacticool home invasion elves, and a ton of heart.

    People should be aware that both these movies are fun and watchable.

    Honestly thought there'd be more decrying the Champions vs the 60s classics

    Yah, Arthur Christmas is pretty good, the art style doesn't even factor in.

    But I would take pretty much any of the champions mentioned over it, borne on tides of ages, crusted with tradition and hardened by older wars buoyed by commercials.

    Klaus made me have some weird feelings about Santa that I resented but was funny (in an Emperor's New Groove way for sure) cute and made me cry at the end

    I haven't seen either, and I always liked the Santa origin in Santa Clause is Coming to Town, but the Klaus Santa looks like a brick shit house who kicks all kinds of ass
