I mean we could flood the list with Miyazaki, it’s like saying we can’t have 2 Tarantino or 2 Spielberg.
That being said 2 movies on there, are 2 of my favorite movies, but I’m going to just hope they squeak through and won’t slide in the replacement till the end.

I could write a whole couple of paragraphs about this movie, how it's a masterpiece of an epic, how it's theme of humans degrading the planet will only result in some kind of karmic justice, how violence begets more cycles of violence, how within a world gone mad two people can still find love, how I saw the film when I was 5 years old and it shaped my tastes, interests for the rest of my life, how it was the first film that made me realize the power of art. But instead I'll just do this one time and be done with it because at the end of the day this is the #1 film of all time for me and I don't need this list to reinforce my opinions.
What if there was no Tarantino, wouldn't that be a funny silly prank
Just collectively ignore works that are largely pastiches from a white dude who loves to say the n-word and does weird creepy shit like insist on personally strangling an actor on camera

But like, we do it as a goof
he sure did switch over to doing period pieces where saying the n-word every other sentence is "historically accurate" once that criticism started to get too loud, huh
I do feel Complicated about Kill Bill, yeah, even as the person who threw it on there
I like the lead female characters a lot and it has some Empowerment but also Tarantino the dude deeply fucking sucks, so if it falls off the list, well, whatever

Who wants to do a quid pro quo to put Do the Right Thing back up on that list?

Also, the Numbers bit made me realize that we have failed to pay the proper obeisance to the true king of the Fast and/or Furious franchise.

An erotic romantic drama starring Mickey Rourke?? No thank you.
Not gonna lie, I am pleasantly surprised that Ready or Not survived Empire Strikes back, even though I am definitely a more passionate fan of the latter.

Also this is a pretty damn good list so far.
